I have been wanting to try for years but life gets in the way lol, so happy and fulfilled that I finally got to dine here!! From what I gathered (from following their page), they change their menu from time to time (unsure of how often and when) and they print it with a cover that often features something artistic, a really nice touch.
The place feels like a speakeasy, when I got in there's a curtain that opens up to this dimly lit dining area with a bar area as well (but ample lighting I assure you). I mentioned that they change menus and that these menus featured art right? You would see a collection of the past ones framed and hanging on the walls which is a really great presentation of how established and dynamic this place is. When we went there's no wait to be seated but things got a bit busy where they had to start a wait list but things flowed nicely so I don't think the wait time was that long.
When we got seated we were explained how the menu worked as they were featuring this Monopoly themed drink menu where you can choose a drink or roll a dice and leave it up to fate to choose for you! But since I had a lot to do after dinner I opted for a mocktail which is pictured here (I am ashamed I can't remember the exact name - sour peach something?).
Moving on to the food, we got mini KFC, steak tataki, and kimchi chahan - favorite of the night STEAK TATAKI! I cannot stop gushing about that dish to everyone I can think of that would appreciate the flavor bomb of that chutney, it was absolute heaven in my mouth and the sear on the steak was perfect!!! The kimchi chahan comes second for me, it had this cripsy brussel sprout topping which had this seasoning on it that made it extra special, my partner loved it so much that he didn't want to mix it in and just eat it as it is but of course I wanted to experience a whole bite of the dish so I just set aside some pieces for him to munch on while we mix the bowl - as you can on the picture it was already mixed, our excitement made me forget to even take a photo of the dish untouched haha! The flavors melded so well for me, it tasted like comfort. For the mini KFC, the sizes of each bite were perfect that you would get all the flavor the chef is wanting you to experience per bite!
Overall, I would come back to this place to try all their other dishes. It was truly worthwhile! And I am excited to get my taste buds satisfied again!

We have been dying to make it out but due to not taking reservations we hadn't made it since we are about a 45 minute drive away. We saw they were taking New Years reservations so we jumped on it. The menu was smaller than usual but the server let us take a look at the full menu and I cam definitely say we can't wait to make the trip back out. The restaurant is a smaller space but they have made great use of it. The atmosphere is warm amd inviting. Our server was beyond fantastic, I did not get her name, she was a blonde woman, she was an absolute gem. Very friendly, fun, and knowledgeable. The cocktails were creative and well balanced with fun presentations. The food was top tier. I have no words for hom much we enjoyed our meal. Pharmacii has quickly become one of our faves. We had : Drinks were 1. Mango sticky rice 2. General Tao 3. Portuguese tart 4. Belgian waffle
Food was 1. Yukeh steak tartar 2. Mushroom Tangu 3. Bone marrow noodles 4. Aburi

I've never not be absolutely delighted by my experience at Pharmacii. The food and cocktails are precise, yet playful. Everything is beyond delicious. The atmosphere is so fun and I really just can't wait for my next visit.

This place rules. The drinks are among the most creative in the province and so varied. The effort put into them alone is staggering, then you see the menu, the glassware, little touches., this place just oozes a labour of love. This isn't another hip ingredient of the moment restaurant or an obnoxious photo spot (though it's gorgeous), it's definitely a very specific vision someone(s) set out to make. Love it. It's unapologetic, fun, and could compete with anything on Ontario's Michelin list.
Ate 4 things, wish I could fit the whole menu in my belly. Charred Bokchoy, Pork Okonomi, Jumbo KFC and Aburi. They bring the dishes out in the right order.
If you go here and leave unhappy, you need to look in the mirror. I am so full and need to go lay down but am already thinking about when we can go back next.

The only reason I rate 4 stars is because we found the menu extremely confusing, I joked I lost neurons trying to understand itšš its not straight forward, I love the art on the menu, however for someone visiting for the first time we found it extremely confusing, so we ended up ordering whatever, however we were extremely happy with everything we orderedšš§”

Cannot recommend this restaurant enough! If youāre looking for an amazing culinary experience, this is it! I would recommend seating out side (weather permitting). Great service, amazing food (my favourite was the sausage- looking dish in the picture, itās actually delicious mushroom macaroni!!), a little more expensive but 100% worth the experience!
