Our visit to the restaurant was fantastic. Food was delicious and fresh. The restaurant is very clean and appealing with great atmosphere. Our server Shioban was wonderful and added to the great experience. Compliments to the chef who made one of the best Reuben sandwiches I’ve ever had! our family will be back. Thank you.

Went here for breakfast while staying at NOTL. Ordered Belgian waffles with whip cream and strawberries as well as Nat's famous omelette which consists of red peppers, tomato and cheese. Food was what you would expect at a breakfast diner, we enjoyed it. Service was slow. We were greeted promptly and our order was taken at a reasonable time, but there were no check ins with us in terms of coffee top offs like other establishments. Our food took quite a bit of time to get to us, I was already done with my coffee when our order came, our waitress said she will be back to give more shortly. She never came back. I noticed the other waitress topping off customers across the place. This kind of makes the experience lack something when you can't sip on your morning coffee while eating. So the lower star rating was based on our service. Will try a different place next time we visit.

$3.50 for Cup of coffee or tea, this is unbelievable how they couch people.

The place was packed on Father's Day, great fresh food, and we didn't have to wait forever on a busy day. Service with a smile. There's no reason not to go back, see you soon.

The food was good. The staff wasn't very friendly or maybe just to us ?. The space is still big, clean, and well-lit, though.

Parking: Plenty of parking

The first time we attempted to try Phyl's was on Mother's day 2024 but there was a long line up so we decided we would try again another day. Today was that day. We loved the atmosphere! So bright and cheery and clean. We asked for water before we ordered and our waitress brought us two glasses promptly. There was a little paper cap on top of our straws so I inquired about them. She said that was to protect the drinking area of the straw from contamination. Very nice I thought. My wife and I ordered the 'Original' breakfast consisting of bacon, eggs, toast and home fries. As always I order my bacon black. The waitress said okay crispy. I said, no, I want it black please. We waited about 10 minutes or so for our order which was good being that we and only one other table were in the place. Unfortunately my bacon was not cooked as I had ordered. It was semi-limp and chewy. I was not happy. The eggs, home fries and rye toast were okay. I never like to make a fuss over my order, I just eat it and file the experience away. When our bill came we noticed two 50 cents charges on the bill. We wondered if they charged us for the water? We inquired and our waitress told us it was an extra charge for the rye toast. Not a big deal, maybe we missed it on the menu. Getting back to the straws being protected from contamination, I couldn't help but notice when another waitress asked her table if they would like refills for their coffees. I chuckled when the waitress grabbed the coffee mugs around the top where your mouth goes and proceeded to fill the mugs. I said to my wife, 'There's handles on the mugs but she chose to put her hands on the drinking areas'. I wish we had a better experience but we didn't. We won't be back.

Was a nice place to go.
We had a very large group come the morning after a wedding nearby. Unfortunately service from the kitchen was slow as they only had 1 cook. But the waitstaff were super friendly and helpful.

Phyl's has became our go-to breakfast spot in Merritton.

Fair prices and always consistent.

No issues with parking either which is nice.
