$60.00 for two omelettes, with coffee and tea , can't believe paying $4.00 for one bag of tea and hot water, stop going customers, that's what you call Greed.
Fun spot. The service is top-notch. Everyone is so very friendly. Cheerful. The food is great, also, of course. Just go!!
I brought my friends from Kingston to try this place for the first time. Everything started off great, but things quickly went downhill once our food arrived. There was a hair on the side of my friend’s plate. The staff apologized and replated the dish, but later we found another hair in my husband’s pancakes.
When we brought it up, we were told this “never happens,” and they pointed out their cooks, saying no one has black hair or that one of them has long hair—completely deflecting responsibility. It was disappointing to see no one take proper accountability. Hairnets should be mandatory in any kitchen, regardless of the staff’s hair type or length.
They did waive the meal with the hair, which we appreciated, but I was still going to get charged for a tea I never received. Overall, it was an uncomfortable and odd experience. I’m not sure I’d return or recommend it.
Had high expectations due to such great reviews. The food tasted great, portions were good but 2 of our 4 meals had hair in them. When we told our server about it she apologized but then defended the kitchen saying the cook had long hair, and that they've never had this problem in the 10+ years she's worked there and said she thought it was strange that it had happened now and never before. Nobody in the kitchen was wearing a hair net. The server took one of 2 meals that had hair in it off the bill and we requested that the 2nd meal be taken off aswell. She took both meals off but then tried to charge us for tea we never even got.
This is a cozy cafe serving the best breakfast! We got the grilled cheese and a fried egg sandwich! The service was quick, the servers are really friendly, and the food is purely satisfying!
This breakfast cafe service was great were greeted immediately upon entering, even second person came out of kitchen to ensure we’re being taken to our table.
Ordered Eggs Benedict classic add avocado with side sausage, and coffee. Also one Irish eggs Benedict add avocado with a water.
Our food came out not together, which was disappointing. Timing is important, and two Benedict orders should be done side by side.
On the classic one poached was perfect and other was poached hard, the sauce on the Benedict was flavourless.
On the Irish Benedict one egg was perfect soft poached and other was undercooked with egg white raw still, very disappointing. The potato and corn beef bottom tasted like it was freezer burnt which was strange.
The side sausage came butterflied which I love! The home fries are excellent, with the right amount of seasoning and came crispy.
Over all, sauce needs some love. And the cooks need some practice with poached eggs and times.
Paid $67.80
What a cute little diner. This location is not too
far from the beach area. It was quite busy for breakfast. There was a nice mix of locals and visitors to this lakefront adorable village.
The owners are fairly new but we were told they kept almost everything the same. You can tell, as it looks like it’s been a staple in this quiet neighbourhood for a very long time, a nice feeling!
The coffee was delicious, fresh, and hot! The food came quickly and was also great tasting.

I very much enjoyed my breakfast. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I had the classic eggs benny, the hollandaise sauce was soooo good, and not skimpy with it!!
My companion had The Boathouse breakfast, a little of everything, it looked delicious, and she confirmed it most definitely was!!

Decent breakfast. Took a while to get the order. The food was so so. The eggs were cooked perfectly. Potatoes were bland and bacon was overcooked.
The grilled cheese lacked flavour and cheese.
