Food was spectacular and spicy! Will be coming again!
The food is not fresh at all, and service is very cold! I left the resturant hungry! I I really love Thai food but this was really so bad! I
Had to leave the restaurant hungry, couldn’t even eat anything and paid 60$ for it!! The food tasted old and the service sucks!! The waiter wasn’t friendly or energetic, the vibe was so off!
We had another fantastic meal at Sahla Thai, one of our go-to spots for Thai cuisine. We ordered the Lovely Chicken, Robin Hood Ribs, Crab Rangoon, and Snow Shrimp — and everything was absolutely delicious!
The Lovely Chicken is a favourite in our family — my daughter gets it every single time, and it never disappoints. The flavours are rich, perfectly balanced, and unlike anything you’ll find at other Thai restaurants. Their Pad Thai is also a must-try — full of bold, authentic flavour that sets it apart from the rest.
Sahla Thai consistently delivers top-quality food with unique and memorable tastes. If you’re craving Thai food done right, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!
Our family of 10 - we are South Indians who visited Sahla Thai craving authentic Thai cuisine. Upon being seated, our waiter, Pai, handed us menus but displayed an unfriendly attitude throughout our meal. While he served our food accurately, his demeanor lacked the warmth typical of good service. Later, we noticed him cheerfully engaging with a table of two American diners, a stark contrast to his grumpiness with us. This left us feeling that his behavior was discriminatory. Though the food and restaurant ambiance were excellent, the poor experience due to perceived racism ensures we won’t return.
If u haven’t tried the chicken pannang and the crab rangoons I feel sorry for you!!
Food is absolutely delicious.
Dinner with my family to celebrate another trip around the sun.
I've been coming to Sahla Thai for around 20yrs. Phai and the rest of the crew have never disappointed. This is a landmark business in downtown St Catharines and I highly recommend it!
Great food, and relatively cheap prices
Food was awesome- we really enjoyed our dinner!

Extremely disappointed. Green curry inedible, doesn't even taste like a curry just salt. Thai rolls were fine, but the peanut sauce way too thick, inedible with that on top, had to remove.
USED to be my favorite restaurant... after the horrible food horrible service and horrible atmosphere on new years eve I will never be back. My lovely chicken was tiny waste pieces of chicken in the middle of a ring of broccoli and drowning in what I can only describe as peanut soup! We asked for a booth sitting in the floor as they used to have but upon arrival they have done away with them. We also asked for a 7:00 meeting and they laughed at us we settled on 8:00 and the place was desolate. Not even one bite of food in we were being prompted to decide if we wanted anything else from the kitchen because they were desperate to close. Mopping all around us as I stated how do I know if I want anything else to eat when I haven't even taken a bite yet they did not come anywhere near us again to ask how things were or offer us anything. In fact we had to even go up for the bill ourselves
Great food, friendly service
Always a go to for great food and service if you are looking for a good Thai restaurant.
Not sure why this location has so many high reviews because other than quick service I experienced the opposite experience. EXTREMELY UNHYGIENIC. Had to request new plates because plates served had visible food residue. Saw COCKROACHES in the bathroom as well. To add to this, I wasn’t expecting too much since I’ve had some really good Thai food in Toronto and this was a smaller city but the alleged 4.4 star review left me very disappointed by the true reality of the food. The pad Thai especially left a bad taste in my mouth. The pad garpao, the dish I was most excited about, was okay but didn’t seem like the same dish I had ordered at several Thai restaurants previously with no issue. We also ordered a chicken fried rice and crab fried rice, both were just okay but nothing special. If for some reason you choose to disregard the uncleanliness and the just okay food, I recommend getting a level 4 spice level because the food is pretty flavourless and bland and even 4 wasn’t spicy even for someone with low spice tolerance. Overall, one of the worst restaurants I’ve been. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE.
