We enjoyed our dinner last night very much! We had the green curry chicken - which was perfect at the medium spice level. We also enjoyed the papaya salad…not sure if the recipe has changed, but it was better than ever! And lastly the lemon chicken which was perfect as always.
Even with the excellent food though, the best part of our visit was the service. Taran was the best! She gave us some great insight, was lovely to chat with and was attentive throughout our dinner. We can’t wait to come back and hope to see her again too!

I have been going to the Spicy Thai for years and it never disappoints. The service, flavour and price is always stellar. If there is any complaint, it is that the restaurant is in a very sketchy part of town. In fact, the last time we went, as soon as we walked out of the restaurant, the neighbour next door was vommiting on to the sidewalk.
However, area aside, it is a superlative restaurant.

Fried rice and beef were really good. The only downside is the area where the restaurant is located, not the best, kinda sketchy. But besides that staff was great very kind and warm. The food was also great.

Came here for dinner on a Tuesday and they had a fantastic 2-can-dine deal. I had the red curry and my friend had the pad Thai. We got the dumplings as an appetizer. Everything was good and affordable and the service was excellent.

Spicy Thai Restaurant is an absolute gem! Every visit is a delightful experience filled with rich flavors, warm hospitality, and authentic Thai cuisine. The dishes are always fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with just the right balance of spice and seasoning.
Drove all the way from Brock to enjoy some Tom Yum Noodle Soup as a nice treat from studying, and unfortunately I was left extremely disappointed. I went in to order takeout from the lunch menu, which at the top states a choice of tofu/beef/chicken/veg or $2 extra for shrimp on the dishes. I got the Tom Yum Noodle Soup and asked for beef and was told chicken or tofu is standard otherwise it would be an up-charge. That's fine, so I stuck with chicken... even though the menu stated otherwise. Then I paid the $4.99 upgrade for one of the sides to be the summer salad roll and chose the spring roll as my second side. I opened the container to enjoy the summer salad roll and it was the smallest single roll cut into 3 small sushi size pieces. I could have ordered a separate full size order for almost the same price. In addition, the spring roll was not crispy whatsoever. The biggest disappointment was the soup I had been craving all week. There was 0 flavour. The cilantro was wilted in the bowl before even pouring the broth in, there wasn't even the slightest aroma of flavours at all. This was the most bland soup, with no essence of a Tom Yum whatsoever. Not even a slice of lime to mimic lemongrass or anything.
Totally bummed out, especially since I had seen such good reviews and drove out of my way to have a favourite meal of mine. Would have been better off getting crappy soup at the mall, at least it would have had any sort of flavour and met expectations. :( The lady taking the order was very kind at least!
