Always loved this place , however my husband ordered a large tray of cabbage rolls... The filling was mostly rice...barely any meat . No flavour.

Amazing place but when a rush of people comes in, nobody knows who's where they need to get tickets in place. Or have a separate area for people making sandwiches? It's super confusing.

buns were always fresh until today i was there when they opened and buns were not soft and kinda of cold they were obviously day olds refrigerated and sold as fresh, however this the first bad experience in 45 years of going here, joe would have never let this happen, hate to complain but.........

Love this place. I stop regularly for their selection of breads, meats, European grocery items and my kids favourite the Portuguese tarts.

St. Joseph Bakery on Facer Street is truly one of the gems of St. Catharines! From the moment you walk in, the smell of freshly baked bread and pastries fills the air — it’s impossible not to smile.

They make the best buns in town — soft, fresh, and full of flavour — the kind that take any sandwich to the next level. Speaking of sandwiches, their Italian sandwiches are incredible: generous portions, perfectly balanced, and made with the freshest ingredients. And the desserts — absolutely amazing! From their cannolis to pastries and cookies, everything tastes authentic and made with care.

The service is always friendly, and you can feel the pride and tradition in everything they do. It’s the kind of place where quality and community come together beautifully.

Whether you’re stopping by for lunch, a box of buns, or something sweet to take home, St. Joseph Bakery never disappoints. A true local favourite and a must-visit in St. Catharines!

I go to St. Joe's every week I get bacon thick slices my sourdough bread and best dried pasta section. I stock my freezer with their roast beef and meat stick's incase I don't have time to cook. It's quality food at a good price and I hope they never change.

How did we not know of this place sooner? Everyone who worked there was friendly and helpful. Amazing selection of Polish goods. We ordered two sandwiches, which were very good. Generous, fresh portions for a very reasonable price. We will definitely be back.
