It truly feels like a family diner atmosphere from the past. The food is amazing, not too greasy, the service is warm and friendly. Hands down the best home fries in St. Catharine’s. Highly recommend!

The big woman is so rude. Don't know how she still works there. Terrible place to go. Horrible customer service. So rude for no reason multiple times. I'm done going here. I can't keep excusing her ridiculous behavior. Nothing you can offer me is worth dealing with that woman again. So done with her hostility. She should not work in customer service. I guarantee she is the reason for lost customers.

I went recently with my 2 year old. They had high chairs, baby plates, baby cutlery, baby cups (silicone cups with straws), free menu for kids, and a change table! Restaurants don’t normally provide all of this so it was really appreciated!

We visited this charming family-run establishment for the first time. Since we're not locals to St. Catherine's, we decided to stop by for breakfast on our way home. The atmosphere was clean and welcoming, and our waitress was fantastic. The staff frequently circulated to refill our coffee cups. The food was delightful! Normally, I avoid ordering sausage when dining out due to the fillers, but the sausage at Lancer restaurant was a pleasant surprise—flavorful and hearty. This restaurant has quickly become our favorite spot whenever we're in St. Cats.

My Family and I absolutely enjoyed it staff polite and kind. Freshly baked cookies and lollipops was a real added bonus to our morning adventure beautifully! Definitely going back again!

This used to be the go-to place some years ago when the husband and wife used to run it. However now I've been there a couple of times but the food is very greasy and the bacon and sausages are deep fried obviously and for too long. I've made better breakfasts at home but to each their own.

Had high expectations coming in because reviews are quite good. However when we received our food my order had some sauce on it that I did not order.. literally made me feel ill.. when I brought it up to my server she first told me there was no sauce on it, which there was… then proceeded to whisper to another server right behind me to hear.
Would not reccomend, sunset grill all the way!

Good food fair price quick service

Lancer is my fav breakfast place ever, I moved from St Catharines but still semi-regularly visit this place for breakfast. I can't speak for the entire menu but I always get the veggie omelette and it's always good... yes the potatoes are awesome

This place used to be amazing. Waited for 10 min then was given a booth that may have been reserved? Eggs were way smaller than i remember but that's not their fault. Window was open in winter and was blowing right on us. Asked about it and server said it was hot earlier. Homefries had way too much seasoning and just overall not a good experience. Rated a 4 in case was an off day. Def a far cry from what I remembered this place to be

Best breakfast spot in town. Super friendly service, great prices, zero pretentious attitude. Show up in your sweatpants on Saturday morning and grab a plate of bacon & eggs. The home fries are out of this world. They also do a perfect club sandwich.

I went for breakfast as a last minute place and it was amazing. I’m definitely coming back here in the future

Food is always very good, just wish the toast was thicker.
