Went there today and was shocked when we asked for an extra plate we were informed we would be charged an additional $2 for an empty plate. We were shocked as waitress stated this charge is from the owner
Pancakes were over cooked sausage under cooked definitely won’t be back

Had a good experience here. Im gluten free, and felt safe with my food. The gf toast was yummy! We went on a Monday and Mondays are cookie day! Very fun idea.
Potato seasoning always yummy. Nice serving size. Staff was very nice and helpful with questions.
Nice place to go to, lots of windows natural light.

We were really impressed with our breakfast experience at the Lancer! The waitress was very friendly, the food did not disappoint, and our kids meals were free (2 large pancakes each). They also had cute cutlery and spill proof metal/silicone cups for kids that was a great touch. We’ll definitely be back.

Stopped in for lunch last week.

Ordered a toasted club sandwich with fries and coleslaw, and an egg salad sandwich, coleslaw and chicken noodle soup.

Food was excellent, very tasty.

Our server was friendly and efficient.

Love that it's one of the few Family Restaurants around.

Would definitely recommend and we'll most certainly be coming back.

Group of 4 for lunch. Asked for an extra plate to put my fish on. There was a charge for a small clean plate.?!?! Soft drinks in cans (obviously no refills). Hubby said he may order a milkshake at end of meal. Was told he had to order it the his meal or they couldn’t (punch it in) later ?!?!
Not going again. But I’m sure their breakfast is great!

This is my go-to breakfast place! Stuff is always friendly food never fails. It's not pretty but it's definitely worth giving a try and keep on coming back

A great restaurant for breakfast. We went there while our RV Camper was having new tires put on at Niagara Tire and Battery. We ordered the 1/2 pancakes with meat. The portions were huge and we took home two pancakes.
The waitress was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Very over priced food for basic quality and the service was horrible! There was 1 other table in the restaurant we were charged $3/ coffee and couldn’t even get a refill, she never came to even ask us how our meal was. I will not be returning $30 for garbage and only ordered 3eggs and toast and 3eggs protein with home fries and 2 coffees very unsatisfied

My family stopped by The Lancer in St. Catharines on Saturday morning for breakfast. It was definitely busy, but despite the hustle, I was seated quickly and the service didn’t miss a beat. The breakfast? Absolutely perfect. I ordered eggs over medium – and they nailed it. For me, perfect over medium means no runny yolks, and that’s exactly what I got.

The next day, I went out shopping with my mom, and she suggested we try a popular breakfast spot elsewhere. We ended up waiting 15 minutes just to be seated, which I didn’t mind too much—until the food arrived. I ordered the exact same breakfast: eggs over medium. Unfortunately, they were nowhere near right. Runny yolks, undercooked whites—completely inedible. I couldn’t even finish them.

That experience made one thing clear: I won’t go anywhere else for breakfast other than The Lancer. They’ve set the bar high, and no one else even comes close.

My go-to breakfast place, has been for many years and I’m never disappointed.

The waitresses are extremely friendly and welcoming and the food is always delicious.
The bacon they have here is to die for, it’s a must have if you find your way over here.

The Lancer has been a Niagara staple for decades and it will continue to be so, as long as the food stays good and the service stays healthy this delightful breakfast place is going nowhere.
