Came in for a late lunch and the happy hour was on which was a nice surprise. We had the nacho’s, fajita tacos, and sweet potato fries. Everything was excellent , great flavour, very affordable and excellent service! We will be back.

Our party of 13 attended lunch time at The Bistro. We had a more private seating area for our family at one table, which we really appreciated, following our Dad’s funeral. Great service and wonderful food. Thank you, for everything.

I had high expectations going in to The Bistro based on reviews. I'm afraid my experience didn't live up to the reviews. On a Saturday night I only saw one waitress, who was also greeting and seating people at the door. She was definitely doing her best, but didn't have time to be attentive. I didn't see local organic ingredients, it seems to be basic frozen proteins reheated with not a lot of flavour. The portions were a good size, but the tastes were flat and not worth the price.

My parents came to visit Canada, and we decided to take them to The Bistro Cafe for a special meal and it turned out to be the perfect choice. We ordered a mix of dishes including the Bruschetta Flatbread (with and without balsamic)🍞, Truffle-Scented Fries, Chicken Penne Primavera, and the Bistro Parmesan Chicken Risotto. Each dish was full of flavor , beautifully presented, and made with quality ingredients. The penne primavera was creamy and flavorful, with a mix of fresh vegetables that added great texture and balance. The risotto itself was creamy, rich, and comforting and satisfying in every bite. The chicken in both the pasta and risotto was incredibly tender, juicy, and well-seasoned.. The bruschetta flatbread was a standout, with a perfect balance of textures and flavors. The balsamic-free version, suggested for my mom, was just as delicious—fresh and savory without any sweetness, which she absolutely loved it 💕. Being an Asian family, the taste was different from what we’re used to, but it was tasty and amazing definitely a wonderful new experience for our palates.
The ambience at the cafe was cozy, modern, and welcoming 🕯️which was perfect for family dinner.The space had a warm, inviting feel that made it easy to settle in and enjoy the experience. The presentation of the dishes and the portion size were just right 🍽️. It was our first time trying dishes like these with my family, and the inviting setting definitely made it more enjoyable 😊.
What truly elevated our experience was the service ⭐. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. They made thoughtful suggestions based on our preferences taking time to understand our preferences like the balsamic-free bruschetta and a milder chicken option for my mom which made a big difference. We felt genuinely cared for, and the personal attention was refreshing. It’s not just the food that will bring us back, but the warmth and hospitality we felt throughout our visit. Highly recommend for anyone looking to try something new in a comfortable, family-friendly setting!🧡

Unfortunately, I can’t say that my family and I had as positive of an experience at the bistro as others have in the previous reviews. I’m not sure what it’s like Monday to Saturday, but our visit was on a Sunday afternoon looking to explore a new place to dine outside of Brantford. The reviews and top ratings brought us to this establishment. My hubby had the Montreal meat grilled cheese and he said it tasted good, but was a little too greasy and salty. Me and my kiddos had the eggs Benny which was the major disappointment. Two of them were prosciutto and I had the smashed avocado. The eggs were over poached and only one of my kids was lucky enough to have one of his eggs a little runny. Eggs Benedict are traditionally cooked easy to medium unless otherwise requested. So not only were my eggs over cooked, the whole things tasted odd and the fried potatoes were so dry! I was starving so I ate everything and I didn’t have the heart to complain as the waitress was lovely although the food took approximate 45 mins to arrive, which was no fault of her own. My kids and hubby all experienced stomach issue shortly after our visit as well. Unfortunately we will not be back to the bistro.
