The owner/person who “served” me spent the entire interaction on his phone. I purchased 3 grainy hot drinks that should’ve come to $15.08 after taxes. When it came time to pay he rushed through the menus and tipped himself 20% - in retrospect I should’ve done better mental math. I’ve also never seen someone tip themselves 20% especially after struggling through 3 lattes while talking on the phone…

Best local cafe in town, famous for their Matcha Green Tea
I stopped into The Perk yesterday. The store front was clean and well organized. There were over 5 types of coffee to choose from. I selected a full-body, it was hot and flavourful. The condiment station was stocked and clean. I was served by an older gentleman that I believe was the owner. He was quick and abrupt with me. I was made to feel as though he was annoyed by my presence. Due to leaving The Perk feeling like an inconvenience I will not be return.

A 27 year old Charming and Gorgeous cafe. Absolutely the best of St. Thomas. Matcha Iced Latte is unforgettable! Their customer friendly personalized service and hospitality will make you forget about robotic coffee chains.. Would totally recommend!!
