The Duke On Sydenham Reviews
Ordered the cheeseburger, the patties were dry and overcooked to the point I could not cut the burger in half to eat it. The coleslaw had a funny taste, like the cabbage had picked up flavour from plastic bag, as it looked like commercial grated cabbage. Not worth the money. Wait staff was very good though
Had a surprise Birthday party for my boyfriend in their private banquet room and it was perfect in every aspect! Service was impeccable! Everyone was very pleased with the choices that were offered and everyone’s dinner was hot and delicious! We were all served at the same time!!
High recommendations and kudos for Rick (owner) and Emma who was the best ever!!!
Also, the appetizers were fantastic!!!

The service is generally commendable, with friendly and attentive staff, although there may be occasional delays during busy hours as the restaurant can get very busy. The staff work well as a team to seat guests, take drinks, and ensure food arrives promptly and correctly. Prices are considered fair, making it a good spot for various occasions, from family dinners to team gatherings. The menu features a variety of great food and drinks, including some unique items not often seen elsewhere, such as chorizo rolls, which are highly recommended. The restaurant also offers a special fall menu, adding to its appeal. Recently, guests have praised the food as excellent and wonderful, with one describing the Yorkshire pudding and Shepherd's pie as very delicious. The atmosphere can be lively and loud, especially with large groups, which might make conversations difficult, but it’s ideal for group gatherings.
