This unassuming little building holds a wonderful little diner with excellent, kind service, with delicious food. I had a plate of fried pickerel and chips, the breading was light and flavorful, and the fish fresh.
Parking: The place can be busy at times, making parking a little difficult to find as the lot out front is limited in size. We found some open spots around the back.

My boyfriend and I came here for lunch. The shawarma poutine is sooo good! The servers were very kind and welcoming. There’s a very warm, welcoming vibe about the place. We’ll definitely be coming back!

As a local business owner myself, was very disappointed to hear the staff putting us down because of the lack of tip while I was using the loo before leaving. The one woman said "we don't need those types of customers anyway, it is our regulars who we rely on for our business ".
Well, I guess this Lavigner who drove into Sturgeon and brought two new customers to eat at your establishment will not become a regular now.
We stopped here for lunch last weekend as we were passing through. Our server was polite and friendly, but once we received our order she never came back. I noticed this was a trend throughout the restaurant. I ordered the fish & chips which came with a side of coleslaw. There was definitely potential for the food to be good, but it wasn't. I was enjoying the coleslaw...till I found a hair in it 😕 The fries were overcooked and dry as was my fish. You could see immediately by the dark exterior, but they chose to serve it anyway. My spouse ordered a hamburger and fries. Same issue with the fries, but said the burger was good. Would have been better with a drink, but couldn't get anyone to come back to our table. Do not order the fish! Even after peeling off the overcooked exterior it still tasted awful. Waste of time and money. Should have just got nugs & fries from McD's. As we were preparing to leave we could see the 2 young girls goofing around dancing and singing in the kitchen. Perhaps if they had been a bit more attentive to the food they were cooking we could have provide a better review 😕

So, I'm done with this place. They can't even tell me when I ordered this evening for dinner that there was no debit. All that aside, the last time I went and sat inside, I went close to closing and I guess someone was lazy and didn't want to make fresh fries cuz mine were cold/old. Covered by cold cheese and hot Gravy. Pas de respect, bin moé non plus. You guys use to be good back in the day, what happened? Like where's the willingness to work? Or offer good food...pretty disappointing.

I phoned in 2 orders of fish and chips. 2 pieces if fish. Photo is only showing 1 because the other is on a plate cut up ready to eat. I must say I am not impressed on this visit. Side gravy was cold and side coleslaw not full and warm. The only good thing this visit was order was prepared on time. Including a low tip order was 40 for 2 meals. happy we ordered the halibut and not pickerel. So not impressed today.

I've been here twice. The first time I ordered fish and chips. The fish was a frozen fillet you buy at the grocery store. Tried again tonight. Fries were cold and like they'd been recooked in the grease a number of time. The burger...bun was stale..broke apart when eating it and the patty was small. Will never come here again.
