On a Friday night this place got hit with a hockey tournament. I wasn’t part of that but watching this crew navigate a full full full house was spectacular! They did a great job and my order and attentiveness ( I was alone ) didn’t get lost in the shuffle! Very impressed!

Service was excellent, food was delicious. My husband had the Shrimp Alfredo and I had the Chicken Parm. Not something I would normally order but very happy I did, absolutely delicious, batter was crunchy even though there was sauce and cheese on it, and the chicken was mouthwatering moist. Will definitely have to try everything on the menu eventually.

Visited here early evening on Friday, September 26. Very accommodating with the one year old we had. Food and atmosphere was great. Spinach dip was very good! The burger with fries and gravy, excellent!! We also ordered chicken wrap and quasdilla which both were fantastic! Overall, this place exceeded expectations and we were looking for somewhere that wasn't fast food, chip truck or pizza. Will definitely be back when I am in the area again visiting! The long wait to get in shows how good this place is! To the team and management, keep up the excellent work! :) Cheers!

When you walk into McMacken’s, you can’t miss the cheeky sign on the wall that reads: “If your Food, Drinks, or Service is not up to your Expectations, please lower your Expectations.” It sets the tone for a laid-back, good-humored spot—but let me tell you, there’s no lowering required here.
I ordered the Montreal smoked meat sandwich, and it was hands down among the best value on the menu—not to mention absolutely delicious. Piled high with tender, smoky meat and packed with flavor, it’s the kind of sandwich that makes you pause and appreciate every bite, right down to the fried pickle on top.
The service matched the food—friendly, quick, and attentive without ever being overbearing. Drinks were on point, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, the kind of place you want to linger a little longer.
McMacken’s jokes about lowering expectations, but in reality, they raise the bar. If you’re passing through Sturgeon Falls, don’t miss this gem—you’ll leave with a full stomach, a smile, and expectations exceeded.

Only in town for the night. Saw the reviews and gave them a try for to go. We had baked pirogies, chicken stir fry and salads. Everything was great and ready on time. Would visit again on the next trip through for sure.
