We ordered the Cheeseburger with the works, french fries and a milkshake. Absolutely awesome. The fries are real home fries and OMG they are sooo good. A little salt, a little vinegar. Mmmm. The milkshake is the best I have ever had. Thick, cold, and real chocolatey goodness. Not like McDonald's watered down version. And the burger must be real handmade beef patties! At first I thought it was a bit pricey but when I compare the quality to McDonald's (which would be about $32.00) there is no comparison. Monique's wins hands down in quality, price and such friendly happy service. Now that's Canadian!
I love the fact they have gluten free options
Nice little place!
Excellent food and services
Best fish ever! The owners and staff are friendly. I go out of my way to stop here.
Friendly staff delicious poutine - not much more you could ask for!
Not to good changing 20 for a pop a small fry and two pogos
Food has gone down hill. For several years I used to order the pierogis with bacon and fried onions. It was excellent. Well that changed. They now only have mini pierogis which are very dry and taste awful. Very little bacon and onions added. So disappointing! Definitely not worth it. Also, vegan gravy for poutine is gross. Why not have a good beef gravy as another option for non vegans? Clean restaurant and good service, but food needs improvement. Young girls working are pleasant but need better training, especially if you are having them cook.
My son and I order a small poutine it was $7.50 each we ask the young girl to layer the cheese we alse do that so she charge us $5.00 each to layer the cheese and the fries was not fully cook iam not happy
Friendly service , fast service and sooo yummy !😋

Restaurantji Recommends
Just went for lunch and it was such a rude, unwelcoming experience.
We even gave a $10 tip and were still treated rudely, my son who is non-verbal with autism was also crying under the table hiding because of how rude the one larger woman with short hair was that served us inside the eating area.
Yelling at my daughter to get her shoes off the seat, and then proceeding to yell at my child with autism who’s non-verbal to get his shoes off the seat and walls (he proceeded to cry and hide under the table and refuses to eat again)
Especially after a good tip, we were treated rudely continuously after that. The portions are horrendously small, we paid $60 for a funnel cake (you get 9 tiny pieces like what??) , a “large” poutine (which was enough to feed my 8 year old daughter and no one else) and some rock hard deep fried pogos.
Not going back.

The food was decent but the staff is very rude. It was my first time and the girls working were snobby and rude. Very condescending. Will not return. The Riv is by far way better.
