Was passing through from Toronto, this is some of the best authentic Chinese we had in Canada.

It’s truly rare to find such authentic Chinese cuisine in Sudbury.
Mapo Tofu is delicious, and Boiled Beef in Sichuan Chili Oil is extremely flavorful—I ate three bowls of rice. It’s been ages since I had such authentic Chinese cuisine.

I've been to 7 Star a few times now. Each time, the food has been amazing. Try the Pork and Chinese Cabbage Dumplings. Also, their spring rolls are the best I've had, including the many I consumed in SE Asia. This place is underrated, and deserves to be busier.

Friday, October 10th, 2025 We ordered our takeout food in the restaurant and it was ready before the specified time. This is the 7th time our family has used the takeout option. The order is always perfect, the quality of the food and service is exceptional. Every time we are celebrating a special occasion we turn to 7 Star Dumpling (South End) Thanks 👍🏻👍🏻

Authentic handmade dumplings are the main event at this quaint family owned restaurant. We were craving a hearty Chinese dinner and this place was exactly what we needed. We were a party of 3 adults and what we ordered filled us up nicely. We ordered House Mixed Seafood dumplings, pan fried pork and cabbage steamed dumplings, hot and sour soup and dry fried bbq pork noodles. The pan fried dumplings are freshly wrapped and fried to order. All of the food was tasty and noticeably freshly prepared. Soup quantity is a shareable size for 3 people. Be patient as all the made to order dishes will take a little more time to reach your table but it's worth the wait.

Food here is always awesome! Both locations have the most authentic Chinese food here, and I’ve had the most lovely opportunity to meet both chef’s from both locations, and you can genuinely tell they have a love for the food!! Service was just as amazing, and much love to the staff!
