We discovered this restaurant several years back and have come consistently ever since! Great food, service and atmosphere. Always spot on! A shout out to the staff and especially Kayla last night for accommodating us in the rain with a table outside under cover! We had our dog and were almost disappointed to miss out on our favorite place however everyone made us feel welcome and Kayla was fantastic, a trooper serving us even while it rained. Many thanks. We will be there soon again.
Highly recommend The Laughing Buddha!

I used to come here 3 years ago with my friends! I know how it used to be. The environment is not as nice.
Not happy with environment. Very noisy! Extremely noisy! Not the good kind of noise.
Edit 1: Then again maybe sitting at the bar wasn’t the best idea… but in that case kindly please escort your guests to the less noisy area of the bar. Don’t just start breaking and smashing stuff in front of them!
Edit 2: Don’t watch your customers so much. Everyone working was peeking from the corner of their eye! Creepy. It’s probably why they kept breaking glasses.
All in all the environment made me feel uncomfortable but service was good when asked for things. Common sense is not very common!

This place is absolutely excellent, when I was in Sudbury I had the opportunity to walk all the streets of the downtown core area. Of all the places I checked out, this is by far the best.
I had dinner one evening and stopped in for lunch the next day, both experiences were excellent.
During the evening, this is where the nightlife seems to be at its best.
If you're a fan of pickles, I highly recommend the dill pizza.
The serving staff was on point.
There's a beautiful outside patio with seating including personalized fireplaces in the center.

Absolutely nun wrong with the Buddha. The menu has glowed up big time over the last little bit. The smashburger, the fried mushrooms, and the pizzas all bang. The key is to ask for the pizzas well done.
Gotta be a go to spot in sudbury for an evening bite n drink.

The Laughing Buddha is one of my favourite spots in Sudbury. The vibe was great we had an outside fire table. Some cocktails and some dinner. The food is top nothc the cocktails were sublime the service was friendly and quick. I highly recommend you stop by the Laughing Buddha when you're in Sudbury.

Used to go here all the time. Prices have gone up quite a bit compared to other places. Today waited 25 min for 2 beers and waitress was completely oblivious to how long it had been, place wasn't even busy. Didn't want to wait another 25 min for a refill so we left no food. Dining room has no sound dampening, echoes and super loud, cold in winter. Patio nice, unfortunately the train hub is right across the street but that's Sudbury for you. The food is usually very fast (too fast, you'll be eating your appetizer and the main comes out) but when you wait 25 min for drinks you don't exactly want to give this place more money. I haven't given up but I won't be back anytime soon

Everything about this place is really cool! We ordered a pizza to share and had to order more before finishing our first slice because it was so good. The outdoor atmosphere is really fun too!

Restaurantji Recommends
That pub restaurant might gives the impression that it's very small, but it has different sections, including a very nice patio. They can accommodate one person, to a few to a group of people. Each time I've been there to have a beer I had a great time even if I wasn't really involved socially. The atmosphere is nice, it's kind of dark but it sort of reminds me of those dark old pubs. You've been warned as many hipsters frequent that place (just kidding), the food is good, the staff are super friendly and while the menu isn't long, they have finger foods, pizza, sandwiches, soup, cakes.
You know how in real estate it’s all about location? Well, if the restaurant business is all about “atmosphere atmosphere atmosphere” then the Laughing Buddha wins - big time. The side patio features a canopy of trees, beautiful lighting, and gas fireplace tabletops (not making this up). It has perfect “let’s go on a date….and let’s make it romantic” kind of vibes. Food is varied with a cool middle eastern flavor running through the menu. My wife and I loved the experience and will return next time we are in Sudbury.
