beautiful venue, great vibes, fiona gave us great recommendations and made our night a 10/10. thanks fiona and the gang!
The perfect patio to make you forget you're right downtown Sudbury. Come for a drink, stay for the pizza and atmosphere. 😁
Fun eatery with great pizza
We got their bao and a pizza with a couple drinks and a desert. Very reasonably priced and very delicious. The pizza crust was thin and well cooked, the bao was stuffed with toppings and was really good. The fried oyster mushrooms on it were crunchy and flavourful, I'm not normally a fan of mushrooms but these hit the spot.
They had a habanero apple cake which was delightful. I've never had a spicy cake but it was a bit hit.
Their patio was nice, staff were friendly and all around a great dining experience.
Was recommended to come and was not disappointed. The atmosphere was light and inviting. The food was delicious and the service was spot on. Our server, Jeff was an absolute delight.
Not the best food, depending what you order. Good beer selections. I like the patio at the side of building.
During weekends, you might have to wait a while for food. Its average at best. I had a burger once, and it was not warm - more like heated up. I am cautions eating there. Once had a pizza, felt sleepy and tired after. I was there three times and am debating returning for food. For beers, its good.
Really enjoyed my lunch here!
Always a great time when i go there. Comfortable, cozy and great vibes. Tasty drinks and yummy food.
Amazing food, drinks and service!
Cool place but limited appetizers.

good food selection with a chill atmosphere. If you're in the area give this place a go.
Main room is a little bit dark, but the pizza was great
Great sandwiches
We were very impressed with the Laughing Buddha. I have told friends and family about it. The service is amazing. The food exceeded our expectations. All 4 of us ordered something different from the menu. We all loved our meals. They used the best quality ingredients that were fresh and delicious 😋 I will be going here again and again. Zeus Za is the best pizza I have ever had!
I have been going to the Buddha for over ten years. I’m really impressed with the way the restaurant has elevated the food in recent years, keeping old classics while introducing new ones with a little je ne sais quois.
During my last visit we had winter carrots on a bed of whipped feta (topped with hot honey and pistachio), bao sandwiches, and a grilled chicken pizza with artichoke.
Everything was incredible. The ingredients were fresh, the food was presented small-plates style, and the detail and care even for a simple cup of tea (small honey pots, anyone?) have all been reasons I keep returning.
A few recommendations:
- make the carrots a permanent menu item
- bring back the baked mushrooms they used to make with cheese and pita
- the Buddha should consider a Sunday brunch offering. I think it would be pretty interesting to get either high tea and/or a brunch menu with a hipstery mimosa tower in Sudbury
- the restaurant has always been really cool and hipstery, with an eclectic taste and consistent art showings which I feel make the place special to Sudbury (and a must-visit). I think a few updates to the bathrooms would serve the place really well, and maybe some spit n shine to the tables and chairs would be excellent as well.
