Huge portions so good value. Service was good but several items on the presented menu were unavailable which was dissapointing

I took my wife and her Austrian family to this restaurant and was blown away by how authentic the ambiance and food was. Incredibly delicious meal, great service, COVID safe, and Wilfried, the very friendly owner, took the time to come speak to us. Highly recommended if you're anywhere near Muskoka.

I grew up in Vienna, Austria, and this was the most authentic Austrian meal I've had outside of Austria. Wilfred the owner spoke with us twice and he makes all the food himself. The Wienerschnitzel tasted just like it does in Vienna, the Grießknockerlsuppe was exactly like my Oma's, and the Apfelstrudel was delicious. We felt super safe re Covid (only one table per room), and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back! Bis zum nächsten Mal!

Wow - just, wow! This place is just amazing. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you are in a time warp. The food is absolutely fantastic and the staff is very nice. I absolutely recommend you visit them if you are in Sundridge.

Such a great meal! We were camping in MikiSew and needed a nice escape… food portions beyond your ability to eat all at once, AMAZING food, so so so authentic Austrian/German! and literally best chicken strips I have ever tried (our 8 year old ordered them). My schnitzel (Devil’s) was so delicious. 7 year old ordered the Dust Pan… because 7… totally amazing! Our server was great.

Excellent and timely service... we had chicken schnitzel which was amazing... the staff and owner were really kind and welcoming to us... the restaurant from inside has very cute ambiance and decoration... normally it is with reservation only but the owner can allow exceptions... also payment is only in cash or debit card... no credit cards accepted... highly recommended and worth another visit.

Excellent and friendly service. The food was exceptional and plentiful. If you have the chance to eat at the Steirerhut Restaurant, you will forever remember it, an experience worth your time, the drive and your stomach and mouth will forever crave .. again and again.

The best Schnitzel I’ve had in year. Everything is freshly made. The potatoes salad was absolutely delicious and everyone was very nice.

Costly restaurant with original Viennese Schnitzel of huge portions and reasonable prices.

....huge portions...I can make 2 or 3 meals out of the ONE I order. LOL. Friendly and authentic. Fresh food...especially the potatoe salad is authentic.

Fantastic food and great atmosphere!

We booked a dinner here for our friends 67th anniversary. I ask Wilfred,the owner if it would be possible to have a special dessert for this dear couple who are 90 and 87 years old. Wilfred did not disappoint! We had a wonderful dinner of scnitzel, goulash, and more. Then when it was time for dessert Wilfred brought over an amazing homemade chocolate cake with homade marzipan flowers on top of the chocolate glaze. He mentioned it was a recipe passed down from his grandmother and it was DELICIOUS! I am not a fan of marzipan but this homemade one was amazing. We took home the leftovers and everyone we gave a taste of the cake all commented that it tasted like a cake their grandmother would have made. We really appreciated Wilfred’s kindness in making that day an extra special one. Make this a stop for great tasting homemade comforting food.

If you want EXCELLENT food and huge portions, this is the place to be. Simply wonderful.
