As a newcomer to Tavistock, I was thrilled to discover D&D Homestyle Cuisine & Cafe! I wandered in one day and was warmly greeted by both Diane and Douglas who are the D & D and soul of this cafe gem. Fresh, local ingredients comprise the homemade soups, baked goods and other menu items. Diane's award winning butter tarts are swoon worthy, yet I confess a passion for her carrot cake too! Next time you are in town do stop in, for a meal, a smile and a bit of hometown charm!!

Good sandwich

Amazing quality food and portion size is good. The staff are all amazing also. We ordered sandwiches, soups and salads as well as the desserts that they offer. Carrot cake and the butter tarts are so good. Enjoy supporting a small local business.

Awesome place - discovered while driving by - to stop by for small bite - place was beyond expectations- egg and cheese bagel and freshly brewed coffee. Staff was very friendly. Even the guest sitting there were very sporty. Nice cozy place on the crossroad to sit near window , sip coffee and enjoy outside while sitting in cozy surroundings

A gem in the town of Tavistock!If you are looking for a cafe with not only deliciously made food, but the hospitality is top notch, D&D is the the place to stop in on your travels!I have been a customer of theirs for the last 5 years, they go above and beyond to not only get the food at the quality you deserve but to get to know you as a customer. Their kindness and care makes you feel you are visiting their home and enjoying conversation with old friends/family.Doug and Diane are creative with their choices of cuisine and work with us through business to find the right fit to entertain not only our employees but our customers and partners. After every meal, words of how good the food is chimes!They continue to offer their help in many ways with the citizens in heir community and the community as whole. Doug & Diane are absolutely wonderful! My favourite part of working in Tavi is getting D&D's for lunch- their build-your-own sandwiches are amazing! The brownies and carrot cake are also to die for.My company also works with them quite often for catering needs and they never disappoint. From smaller-scale sandwich/wrap platters to full spread meals for our Christmas parties and events, they have never done us wrong! The food is always a hit, and the pricing can't be beat. Our first choice for catering needs is always D&D's!
