This spot is so lovely. It has wonderful, friendly service & a welcoming local environment! On top of that, I’m picky about poutine and the Quebecois Poutine on the menu was absolutely delicious with fresh cheese curds and crispy, salty fries. It was my first time here, but I’ll definitely be back with family and friends in the future!

If you’re looking for the ultimate Thursday night treat, Madmash has nailed it with their Loaded Poutine Thursdays. The concept is simple but genius: they give you a paper with all the topping options you just tick off the toppings you want, and minutes later you’re handed a customized mountain of poutine that’s seriously next level. The fries are crispy, the gravy is rich, the cheese curds squeak and the topping options are wild—you can go classic with bacon and onions or pile on everything for a full-on feast.
The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff make the whole process fun, and the value for what you get is unbeatable.
this is one of those hidden gems that makes you want to bring your friends back again and again.

Awesome spot. Had a flight of beer, IPA and the vanilla our favorites. Ed our waiter made the selections for us and was bang on, thanks Ed.
Nice selection of classic pub fare on the menu.
We had Cock-a-leekie soup and Celtic spring rolls for starters followed by the Shepherds pie. The chef 'Will' makes everything fresh in house and it's delicious.
Stop in and say hello to 'JimmyRoss' and have a pint, you won't be disappointed.

I have been enjoying their restaurant since I started driving through Tavistock on a regular basis. Their meat pies are spectacular!!! Jon swears by the Sawmill and my nephew and I can't disagree. My Niece would argue the mushroom is the best... my other nephew says the steak is the best.... I guess I'll just have to keep going back until we settle the debate

We were at Catherines granddaughters baseball game in Tavistock this afternoon. Deicide to look for a nearby restaurant before heading home. Googled and found Madmash Brewery and Restaurant, had some favorable reviews, it was a 3 minute drive. Boy did we pick a winner, a Brewery with GREAT Food, we both ordered the Shepherds Pie , with Roasted Vegetables and Cesar Salad. Very similar to what grandma would have made, thanks John we will sure to visit again when near Tavistock.

Perfect dinner spot after catching a Stratford show. We really enjoyed our meal at madmash, all the food is made from scratch, locally sourced and named (down to the individual farm) where possible. The chicken pot pie, sawmill pie and the sausage roll were all delicious. On the brewery side, I sampled the selection they had on tap and loved two of them so much that I took home the incredibly smooth 'vanilla baby' and 'pineapple gingy'. Chad and John were such a laugh and you could tell they loved what they do. I'll definitely be back when in the area.

Went into the brewery with some friends and high hopes but was quickly disappointed with their light lager which left a horrible taste in our mouths and we refused to even finish them. I decided to order a mojito cocktail because I figured not that hard of a drink to make. Boy was I wrong, he decided to mix the ingredients in my glass and did not shake it or even stir it. Unfortunately at this point we had ordered food. I figured hagis balls and a sausage roll in a Scottish pub would be appropriate. But again proven wrong they completely fell apart and tasted very bland and the roll to was bland as well,my friends had order the burgers and they said it was pretty good so a sliver of hope there for Madmash. I hope that they can take this criticism and build apon it or I don't see this brewery/pub lasting much longer
Cheers from an honest patron

The food is really good, the service is super friendly and fast, and the place looks really cool. The only thing I didn’t like were the bathrooms, they’re small and kind of uncomfortable, and one of the toilets is even crooked. But other than that, 10/10.

The food snd service was excellent. There was a little wait for food but was well worth it. There was 8 of us and everyone chose Scottish fare. No one was disappointed and each sampled the Haggis! Which was good! My Scottish bride gave it a thumbs up.
Desert was awesome !!
Good beer selection! Happy Hour Lager was good!
Only complaint was the heat. Its a small place snd no air conditioning.
The price is very reasonable. We will definately be coming back!!!
