Stopped in for lunch. Had the absolute best Grilled Cheese and Toasted Western on home made bread that I have ever had. The atmosphere and service were great. A place that should be on everyone’s itinerary when on Manitoulin Island. They have lots of other home made goods btw

Visited 2 days ago on a Monday. Food and atmosphere is good. Just that I find the cashier was not very honest, she didn’t show me the bill, just told me the amount, i found that it’s more expensive than i expected, i verified with her again, she said that’s the correct amount. As we were in a rush to catch the ferry, so we left. But after calculations, she charged me 1 more order of breakfast. I quickly called my friends who came half an hour later than us. When they paid the bill, same thing happened!!! That lady also overcharged them 1 more order of breakfast!! Don’t think that’s a coincident! Beware!! Not sure if the management knows!!!

Just minutes from the ferry this is where you need to stop as soon as you get off or before you depart. Really beautiful unique location and the food is incredible. Big portions and very reasonable prices.

Had an amazing brunch at this cozy spot recommended by the owner of our cottage.
We ordered the pancake breakfast and the chicken quesadilla, and we were blown away by how delicious everything was! The chicken quesadilla was packed with fresh veggies and tender chicken - so good.
Also, the staff are super friendly.
If you're bringing your furry friend, dogs have to stay outside the restaurant as they are not allowed to enter the greenhouse area and the restaurant.

We’ve eaten breakfast at joints from New Jersey to Florida, California to Alaska…Saucy Apple is among best-of—best from quality of food, to service, ambience. To sit outside at a table at the Saucy Apple in remote back roads of Manitoulin Island on a sunny, summer morning is a treasure. Eggs, potatoes, bacon, home-made bread, muffins, fruit bowls, coffee, just the best. Thanks to all at Saucy Apple, hope to visit again when summer rolls around.

This little diner tucked inside JD'S Garden Centre is a real gem! Whole we haven't had a chance to dine in yet, we've purchased to-go baked goods and they are outstanding! Fresh, still-warm sourdough bread and buns, foccaccia bread and cinnamon rolls and butter tarts are the real deal! The little shop also has delicious home-made and canned goods. Picked up some pickles and spaghetti sauce to take home! And as we were shopping and paying we watched plateful of delicious meals being carried out. The dine-in greenhouse room and outdoor patio are really lovely. Will definitely be back for a proper "sit-down" brunch soon!

What an absolutely lovely place. It is a farmer's market and diner with produce and other souvenirs for purchase. The diner is inside a make-shift greenhouse which was a delight to be in. It was cozy and extremely relaxing to just walk around inside.Food was equally delicious. We ordered French Toast, a wrap and teas. While I forgot to get photos of everything, we thoroughly enjoyed every bite. I wish there was accommodation close enough to be able to go here everyday, especially for breakfast and start the day off in the most relaxed way and add a smile while reading their menus.
Kid-friendliness: There are a few toys and colouring paper with crayons to keep the little ones occupied.
