Mother Tongue Bistro had a very well designed menu that was sure to cover a wide range of tastes and preferences.The food was prepared and served with great attention to details. The service, location, and atmosphere were also top notch and the chicken dumplings were the best dumplings i've ever tried. The French fries were to die for!The only downside about the food was the overpowering amount of oil in almost every dish we ordered. In my dish, the oil was so much that it was dripping out of my lobster Banh MI, making it messy and quite difficult to hold.Despite all of the nice things about this restaurant, I would only recommend it if oily food is your thing or if it is at least a factor that doesn't bother you.

Excellent food and our server Josh was absolutely pleasant and downright amazing!
The food is amazing, we loved everything. However, the service is the opposite.First, we were on a waiting list and they would call us in about 45 minutes. We came back 1 hour later and there were plenty of available tables, but nobody called us. But, they arranged a table.My daughter ordered a meal from the kid's menu, and the dish was very spicy, but there wasn't any information about it. I talked to the waitress who prepared another one, but it arrived when everyone had already finished.When they brought the bill, they charged us 130 cads of things we didn't ask for. After talking to the waitress, she removed those items.Overall, good food but bad service.

Not sure what happened for our visit? Maybe they were too busy? Lobster & Scallop fried rice was very average for the price. Wagyu Beef chow mien had too much soy/salty sauce. Wine was excellent and server was good, but we also waited almost an hour for our meal. Left without dessert. I wouldn't eat here again.
