The host at the door was unwelcoming and dismissive, seating us with a frown as if we were an inconvenience rather than guests.
Absolutely one of the WORST experiences I have ever had in any restaurant. One of the female staff members was shockingly rude, aggressive, and completely unprofessional. She had a smile and friendly attitude for every other table ,but when it came to ours, she acted like we were invisible. No greeting, no basic courtesy, and every single request we made was answered with pure attitude and eye-rolling.
What made it even worse? At the end of this horrible service, she had the audacity to force a mandatory tip on us without even asking. That is outright robbery. A tip is earned with good service not extorted with arrogance and disrespect.

I cannot understand how management allows someone like this to represent their business. We came here expecting to enjoy our time, but instead we were made to feel unwelcome, ignored, and literally robbed at the cash register.

To be clear: I don’t usually write negative reviews, but this was beyond anything I’ve ever seen. I left the place shaking with anger. No customer deserves to be treated like garbage while being forced to pay extra for it.
I would give zero stars if I could. Never again, and I will warn everyone I know to stay away from here. 👎👎

If you are a group of 6 or more people, they automatically get 18% gratuity. The Tuna Lettuce Wraps were delicious. (6/10) They told us they didn't have the Tex-Mex burger and Kids Cheeseburger when we requested. The meat in the Chiar Siu Beef Manh Mi was very tough. (4/10). The chicken in the Grilled Chicken and Prosciutto Ciabatta was very dry. (4/10) There was almost no cheese in the Mac and Cheese. (3/10) The fries and beers were very good. (7/10) In short, it's a good place to just have a few drinks. The food is not good.

The worst dining experience I’ve ever had! The servers at Northwinds were unbelievably rude, arrogant, and shockingly racist. From the moment we walked in, their attitude was dismissive and disrespectful. Instead of welcoming us, they acted like we were a burden.

They rolled their eyes, ignored our requests, and treated us differently from other customers. Their tone was harsh, unprofessional, and extremely offensive. It felt like they had no training in basic hospitality or even simple human decency.

I’ve been to many restaurants, but I have never seen such an openly racist and disrespectful staff. They clearly don’t value their customers and show zero professionalism. The management should be ashamed for allowing this type of toxic and discriminatory behavior.

Save yourself the disappointment — there are plenty of better restaurants around Blue Mountain that actually respect their customers. I would never step foot in this place again.
Honestly, even one star is too much for them

Good place for hanging out with beer and the food was nice. At first the guy who hosted for us was rude and unwelcoming, but once we changed tables the waitress was very kind and caring, which made the experience much better.

Visited both Collingwood and Blue Mountain locations to enjoy their great beer selection. A must visit for their delicious beer selection, food is Ok overall. Beers taste like beer unlike most of the brewery beers, kudos to the brewmaster.

I am an advocate for Northwinds. I tell everyone to go there, but this past visit ruined it for me. They always have amazing inventive foods and wonderful beer.

First off, I asked the server for suggestions on their beer. She led me to the Buddy, Eh telling me it was a light summer ale. The beer came and it was a hazy, heavier IPA style beer (so not my vibe). Pineapple notes are not my jam. It was happy hour, so I dealt with it and just said I wouldn't order it again.

Portion sizes have gone down hill. This crab lime salad was $23 (on the high side for their salads) and this is what arrived. SHOCKED doesn't even begin to tell you what I felt. I thought they maybe missed something, but there was about 5 pieces of lettuce in there. The salad tasted good, but this should be on the appetizer menu.

The only saving grace to our visit was, they messed up my husband's order so an extra salad was on the table. My kids ordered Caesar salads ($19) and somehow those salads were about 3x the size.

Can't say we will be back. Was rather disappointed.

Firstly the server we had was outstanding, don't know what they pay her but its no where near enough, made the experience the best so far.

We had wings, pretzels, fries and gyoza. The pretzels come in a big mason jar and are doughy and salty amd the dips are very good, one mustard one beer cheese.

The wings are a good size and cooked well as are the fries. Interesting point, the fries aren't salted (they don't need salt in any way) it's just you normally expect them to be salted so if you like salted fries ask for salt, if you don't you'll really enjoy the taste of the fries.

We got the hottest sauce they have, mango habanero I think. I could have went a lot hotter but tasty and had a kick so no complaints here.

You're not going to leave here hungry.

We shared a flight of their beers. I thought the flavours opened up on all of them once they got a chance to warm up a bit. The kettle sour and the porter were the stand outs for me.

They also have wines and other non beer drinks there so don't worry if you don't like beer.

We'd go again.

This was one of the restaurants we went to for lunch, and it was just okay. I ordered the fish and chips, and there was more batter than fish. It was quite oily, and the fries were a bit dry.

There were only a few people dining inside the restaurant, while many were seated on the patio, but it felt like the servers kept walking past our table to see if we were finished. It made us a bit uncomfortable, especially since we were also feeding our toddlers lunch, which we had purchased from them. It was taking a little longer, but still well within their 90-minute seating limit.

There wasn’t a lineup, and there were plenty of empty tables, but it still felt like they were eager for us to leave. I wouldn’t go back for either the food or the service.
