We apparently arrived at a very busy time. Seated ourselves and not long before the waitress arrived to take our order. It appeared she was the only waitress in our area with a man helping to deliver food and clean tables.She was so busy with so many tables to wait but still was very friendly,patient and smiling. We did have to wait awhile for our food but it was all good. It may help to put an extra set of hands on at these busy times.

I am not someone who usually checks reviews before trying a new restaurant, but after this experience, I absolutely should have. After the fact, I noticed that many of Cracker Jacks’ most recent Google reviews within the past month are negative — and unfortunately, my visit confirmed exactly why.
We had an 8:30 PM reservation and arrived slightly early due to bad weather. We stood at the entrance and were completely ignored for 20–30 minutes. No greeting, no acknowledgment, nothing. While waiting, we noticed a sign on the door telling guests to use the other entrance, so we did. On that side, staff were cleaning up from a kids’ event. A tall, older man with white hair (who appeared to be the owner or manager) spoke to my partner and me in an extremely rude and dismissive tone, telling us to “go wait on the other side.” No explanation, just attitude. To make matters worse, the outside of the building was clearly not maintained despite the weather. There was no visible shovelling or salt put down, making the entrance icy and slippery. For a business open to the public, this felt careless and unsafe, especially for guests arriving at night in poor conditions.
We went back, still having no idea where we were supposed to sit since no one had bothered to help us. We chose an empty table ourselves. Within a minute, the bartender asked if we had a reservation. I confirmed we did, under my name, and she told us that the other side was clean — the same side we had just been rudely kicked out of. We moved again and took a booth. During this time, the same older man gave us another disrespectful look and attitude.
Once seated, we waited an absurd amount of time just to be acknowledged, even though the non-bar side only had about three tables occupied. Our server, Lindsay, eventually came over. We ordered water and pop, which still took around 10 minutes to arrive. By this point, it was already close to 9:40 PM. We ordered garlic cheese bread as a starter, and after that finally arrived and was finished, we placed our main orders, hoping the food would somehow justify the long waits and terrible service. It didn’t. The food was underwhelming at best and absolutely not worth the time or frustration.
There was a live band playing (The Bash), and while they were actually good, they were painfully loud for such a small space — especially considering how empty the restaurant was. Throughout the night, we watched multiple people come in, seat themselves, never get acknowledged, and eventually either leave or move to the bar side. The bartender, who was frequently on her phone, was the same person who initially redirected us regarding reservations, which says a lot.
The men’s washroom was also unacceptable. While the garbage was empty, there was toilet paper scattered all over the stall floor clearly not being properly checked or cleaned.
The only positive thing about this entire experience: Our server, Lindsay. She appeared to be the only person actually working. She was running food and drinks for both the bar side and the non-bar side, constantly coming out of the kitchen. The failures here are clearly not on her — they are on management and overall organization.
This was one of the most poorly run restaurant experiences I’ve had in a long time. Between the rude management, lack of basic service, unsafe exterior conditions, long wait times, mediocre food, and general disorganization, this place seriously needs to get its act together. Based on both my experience and the recent reviews, this is not a one-off issue — it’s a pattern.

Service and food were amazing. Went for cheap wings, they were hot and came out fast. Kelly was amazing!
I cannot begin to describe my experience here. The manager on duty was drinking at the bar for the better half of the evening , he followed my girlfriend to the restroom bothering her for her number . We had to flag down our server several times to get the bill after this happened when we very well should have walked out .
Fish and chips were really good , but i wouldn’t recommend coming here past 6 pm as the staff will be wasted

Dirty washroom Sticky tables and bad customer service from undertrained teens to start Food was mediocre ordered a well done steak which came with enough blood to do a halloween costume. Waited 40 mins for the first order showed them the bloody steak and they said the would get me one right away ended up waiting 30 mins again and i decided to leave worst restaurant i’ve. ever been at
