This is a busy restaurant serving buffet style Chinese food with some Canadian dishes like a roast beef or ham. I wouldn't call this an authentic Asian restaurant as there are many deep-fried dishes which I always think cater to Canadian tastes. I was lucky to live in both Victoria and Vancouver which each have a vibrant and authentic Chinese Restaurants. Unfortunately it's very difficult for a small town to support more authentic cuisine - one such restaurant tried, but it didn't last. All that said, I have eaten at this restaurant a number of times, enjoy the food and would definitely go back.

I've been to this place a ton if times and it's always been great.This time I dont know if it was to late in the night,but the food was old and dry,with hardly any selection.I hope this isn't the future of this place and just a bad night

Over I would I rate this place a 3 star but I would not call this place lucky Chinese buffet because I felt unlucky when I got my food, it was disgusting but the rice was amazing. The plate was so warm that when I grabbed I burned my hand.

We dropped in on our way from Sarnia. We were disappointed with the meal. If you go to Simcoe go to Garden Restaurant . The buffet is good and hot.
My husband and I were there today for lunch. We use to go all the time when it was twins. We have not been in the last couple years, and we will not return. The restaurant is disgustingly dirty and the food was cold. The ice cream was so hard and was covered in ice crystals. The men’s washroom had no lid on the toilet and the toilet seat was half off. Windows and carpets are filthy. We were very disappointed. Not a place we will recommend to anyone. The disgusted couple.

My wife and I went here on a Friday evening around 5:00 p.m. for an early dinner. We had never been here before so we thought we would give it a try. All I can say is DON’T!!Not one thing on their buffet menu had any flavour. The most flavoured thing on my plate was the grease that was dripping off everything. NOTHING was hot. The pans are were mostly empty and when they did bring food out, instead of replacing the old pan with a new one they just stacked onto the old one. I had a coffee that tasted as though it had been brewed in the morning. We even tried dessert, utter failure. Now we both hope that we are not sick to our stomachs because of this experience. Not really sure how they stay in business. Please please try somewhere else!!

After reading so many bad reviews I had to go in for myself to see, well me and my daughter were quite pleased, the food was hot and there was a lot of choices with all the food containers filled, we had an awesome meal and the price was great as well, definitely will be going back!!

Take out - Deluxe Dinner for 2 - assortment of food and thought it would be good to see how Lucky's did overall. chicken balls were a weird texture, possibly done ahead of time, or different dough (and let's face it, chicken balls are usually the same everywhere). Breaded shrimp was good, beef with veg, the broccoli was great but the beef was tough and chewy, chicken fried rice, the chicken had an odd taste, perhaps added after or simply sat in a fridge too long. Egg rolls were ok, but within ten minutes of pick up the egg rolls, shrimp and chicken balls were barely warm. A little more effort, a little more thought about "would I eat this" and perhaps they will get it. It seems that they are trying, the restaurant seemed clean, the options at the buffet seemed to be good (from a distance) and certainly the staff were friendly. This location is good for business, they just shouldn't make short cuts on the food.
