Always love going to the copper mug, very classy and respectful

Typical small town local restaurant
But seriously the "chef" should look into a cookbook for a picture of souvlaki.
And flavour was questionable. The quesadia was burnt. Both of those meals would not leave my kitchen.
Any review over 3 stars must be family or they hit the bar first.

A staple of Tillsonburg. Whether you stop in for a drink or a quick bite to eat. It’s a perfect spot to catch up with friends on a Friday night

Rustic looking inside was nice little place. Friendly staff . Only 4 stars cause the fries were really oily, greasy. More then what fries normally are. Would try eating there again next time that way

Went to dinner for my birthday on the 6th of September. Was very disappointed with the food. I ordered supreme fries for an app. Absolutely disgusting. The fries looked like they were scraped of one plate to another. They were warm but not hot. They looked as if the oil was very much over due for a change the sour cream tasted like it was bad. I also ordered a Philly cheese steak sandwich. Talk about gross. Was soggy and not in a good way. I cannot describe the taste because I have never ate something that tasted that bad. It's a bar maybe I should have drank 10 beers before eating. The only thing that tasted (ok) was the hamburger quesadilla. I have ate at the mug before in the past and it was decent. So this was disappointing. I'd give a negative star if I could. Will never recommend this place to anyone. And will never be back. On the bright side. The server was very pleasant and she's the only reason I give it a star.

Their half priced wings on Tuesdays and Thursdays are the absolute best! The medium Bundy are my favourites paired with sweet potato fries and an ice cold drink.

Probably the only true pub in Tillsonburg, but they don't rest on their laurels. The Copper Mug has great atmosphere, good food, and wonderful service. It's warm and friendly, just as a pub should be. Also a good spot for live music and open mic nights.

I'm so confused.... isnt the MAIN ingredients for a poutine; fries, cheese and GRAVY????

I ordered the "pulled pork poutine" for take out. Thank God my boyfriend was going to get me extra gravy on the side because he was informed that the "pulled pork POUTINE" did NOT have Gravy on it at all.... so not only did we have to pay 4$ extra for basically canned flavored gravy, but then their were CHUNKS Of hard meat mixed in with the whole thing. I have issues eating hard food, hence why I ordered a poutine, and I wasnt able to eat even a quarter of my 20$ poutine. Overall I'm very confused as to why they would call it a poutine If I have to pay extra for gravy? Wouldn't that just make it fries with cheese clumps and meat??? ???‍♀️

I dont think I will be returning to there any time soon which is sad because I really try to keep it local. Guess it will be somewhere else that will get my business and $$$ since this will be the 3rd time in a row that there has been issues with the food.

**On a brighter note: the service was wonderful and the bar tender that served us was friendly and polite. The service was the only reason I kept coming back. But after this many times and the food isnt getting any better, I'm disappointed to say, never again. ?
