I've been to Montana's many times and usually get great food and great service. Today was way different. First off, the owner was bragging about the $600,000 in renovations they just completed. Honestly, I couldn't see any difference. We were a group of 10. We called ahead to ensure there was a big enough table for us. Arrived at the restaurant at 11:45am and was seated promptly. The owner seated us and this was when she was bragging about the $600K reno. It took about 10 minutes to order our drinks, and about another 10 to get them. We had been there for about 30-40 minutes before the server took our orders. We ordered the appetizers and mains all at the same time to hopefully save some time. 20 minutes later our appetizes arrived. Before the appetizers were done, some of the mains were being brought out. 20 minutes later the balance of the mains were brought to the table. I was actually the last to receive my main dish of a Honking Beef Rib. It was basically COLD and was severed without a knife, which took an additional 5-10 minutes to get. Others with the party also were not 100% satisfied. We left at 1:45 pm. That's a 2 hour lunch! Like I said, we've been there many times for lunch and never had an issue. Today was very disappointing.

I ordered take out and once I received it. It was cold. The ribs were put in a bag instead of a container. First time using skip the dish. Not impressed.

About the best place to eat in the Timmins west end, as you are usually not bothered by bums and crack heads this far west of town. Food is great, as well as the service and price is right. Very kid friendly as well.
Really enjoyed our meals here this evening....we experienced exceptional service from the moment we walked in on a very busy dinnertime.we had to wait a few minutes for our table but their system does a great job of keeping you updated about how long the wait is going to be...had a great table for the five of us. Our server Karine was amazing....friendly, efficient...took our orders quickly for drinks...then dinner. Food was hot and well prepared...steaks were spot on so thanks Chef!...overall a great dining experience...would recommend for your family dining experience.

It's the same as any other Montana's. The food was good and it's a good price. I went on 2 got 1 wings night. So that was really good. And the rooms were actually a really good size and very tasty.
Staff were pleasant. Had a few mistakes with our orders as we have some dietary restrictions, but our waiter was quick to get things fixed and ensure we had an enjoyable meal. Music was a bit too loud for my liking as it felt like we had to raise our voices to hear each other, but otherwise, a nice dining experience.
