Bartender had the personality of a wet napkin
Great atmosphere! Awesome staff! The Surge is flexible venue that can do it all! From a chill space to watch the game, all the way to a full blown concert venue, this place has it all! When it’s a regular night, the place is perfect for a sit down conversation, mingling, etc. Does it get loud when a band plays, of course it can. That’s the concert atmosphere. What makes this place truly special is the people. Kim and her crew (you know who you are) do an excellent job! Hosting events at The Surge is a joy, and attending them is even more fun! They really go above and beyond! Thank you! Oh, and let not forget the rooftop! Wow!

We’ve hosted multiple events and popped in for drinks and a game of pool so many times! The staff are amazing, the owner is an angel, the atmosphere is clean and a great vibe… the rod top patio is a gem in Timmins!!!

Went out of our way to stop here, told by staff when we arrived that they weren’t open.. despite doors being open and staff being there. Anyways - update your opening times on Google please!
Megan is a nice and really hard working lady. My only issue is the place is like some others when drinking draft beer.....they say it's a 20 oz glass, and they won't fill the glass with beer! They say they have too give two fingers of foam! This is ridiculous! So instead of 20 oz of beer, you get 16-17 oz. I'm tired of places ripping us off!!! If you aren't going to satisfy the customer with what you are claiming you are selling .... I will go elsewhere.

The blonde older bartender (who I believe is the manager) was extremely rude, gave me dirty looks all night, ignored my orders, and made me feel like I was a burden just for being there. I was patient and polite to her the entire time, but she continued to treat me with complete disrespect.
What’s even worse is that I noticed another bartender with black hair absolutely busting her ass all night, working so hard to serve customers, while this blonde “manager” stood around being rude — even to her own staff! It was honestly shocking to watch.
The Surge family really needs to reconsider who they put in positions of power. A manager should be welcoming and set an example for the team, not drag everyone down with a bad attitude. I’ve also seen other reviews mentioning how rude this same manager is, so clearly this is not a one-time thing.
Surge, it’s time to get rid of the bad apple before she ruins the whole experience for everyone.

DON'T BOTHER! The blonde older bartender was incredibly rude. Ignored us while we patiently waited in line. We tipped well, no idea what her problem was.

Really enjoying the new rooftop lounge at the Surge. Caesars are on point! Strawberry Daquirie was also very tasty! The views are incredible, especially at night.
