On the way to a friends cottage and saw the sign. One of the guys I was with was familiar with the place but I wasn’t. On the way home I stopped and got a slab of smoked whitefish. The lady at the counter was lovely and friendly. The fish was outstanding. It’s a long drive for me but well worth it.

I have been going to Lepage for fish for several years now. I’m so happy that a true local fishery exists in this area. You can’t beat fresh local fish!!!!!! I’ve always appreciated the friendly atmosphere and kindness from Lepage. I have recommended Lepage to all I know in the Lafontaine/Tiny area. When I visit family in the GTA they are always happy when I treat them to the most amazing tasting trout and whitefish. I believe local fisheries like Lepage are slowly disappearing and it’s a shame! If you are looking for fresh, natural fish….. Lepage is the place. The smoked trout is also really delicious. I’m so happy to be able to support this local business.

Some may think that either Discovery Harbour, the beaches, waterfront, or beautiful sunsets are the number one attractions in Penetang. I disagree!!!As far as we are concerned, LePage Fisheries and specifically Irene the owner, are the number one attraction in the area.We recently moved from the GTA, and happened to drive by one day and thankfully saw the sign.What a treat to have fresh fish right off the boat! The trout, whitefish and pickerel are best we have ever had ANYWHERE!!! The smoked fish is also excellent.Irene happens to be one of the nicest people we have ever met. Part of the attraction includes being able to have a wonderful conversation with this absolutely delightful lady. She is a GEM.We visit and have fish at least twice a week during the season and will probably buy freeze for the winter.And before I forget her prices are approximately 40 percent less than I have seen elsewhere in the area.This is by far the one and only place to buy fish! Worth the drive no matter how far!!!

I have a cottage nearby and have been shopping here for several years for fresh fish. The quality is always excellent and the prices are very fair. They have been very accommodating during Covid as well. I buy fish here to take back to the city and I do not buy fish anywhere else anymore.
