The Fish & Chip Place Reviews
I would not recommend this place first of all, we could only get one Bill for 6 people ,3 different couples, were told if we wanted to sit at 3 different tables we could. The young man who was the greeter was very rude when I asked this, his reply was THAT Is Our RULES, and I said I understand but all being senior you kind of watch your spending,.
The waiter brought water jug to table and just set it there and said severe yourself, and then when he brought our beer he asked...read full review
So disappointed with our favourite place to have fish and chips in Tobermory. We've been going for years, mostly during the summer months and really enjoyed the food, waitstaff and location. But two years in a row, we've been camping just before Thanksgiving and wanted to have the last fish and chips of the season. This year, we walked by on Thursday the 5th and saw their blackboard out front posting their hours over the long weekend and came back the next day as per the posted...read full review
My husband and I ate in your restaurant yesterday first time.
We ordered the white fish 6 pieces $44.00. We were told that the pieces are not small but are a good size. These pieces are very small 2 ounces at the most that’s with the batter. The french fries were cold and hard overcooked. hard, and they need oil to be changed.

Menu
The Fish & Chip Place offers a classic fish and chips experience in Tobermory. The fresh tasting fish, shrimp, and local white fish are finger-licking good, though some guests felt the meal was too greasy or portions were smaller. The restaurant has a nice view of the harbour and a welcoming atmosphere, with kind, hardworking, and super pleasant staff. Customers can enjoy their meal on the patio with a cold beer or try the best fish tacos in Ontario. The curly-haired server treats everyone well, and the service is phenomenal. The location and view are among the best in the area, making it a popular spot for visitors. However, some reviews mention that the fish and fries can be subpar at times, with the fish sometimes having a dehydrated texture, possibly due to being previously frozen. Staff members, including Kiernan, are praised for their professionalism and work ethic, although there have been instances where service was slow or staff seemed overwhelmed. Overall, the restaurant offers a good atmosphere and friendly service, but quality of the fish can vary.
