Save your money and eat elsewhere. My husband and I wanted fish and chips and thought The Fish &Chip Place would be the place to go. They have 2 choices “local” whitefish or traditional haddock . Our waitress recommended the whitefish. So I had the whitefish and my husband had the haddock . Our order arrived and looked quite good, until I tried my fish, it was dry and had no flavour, even after dousing it with malt vinegar. The haddock was marginally better. When asked how our meals were, I told the waitress my fish was dry and her response was “hmmm, I don’t know about that” and walked away. No apology or offer to provide something else. I would not recommend this place. $22.00 is a very expensive basket of mediocre fries.

Best fish tacos ive had in Ontario. The low star reviews claiming the service here is racist is ridiculous. Im a brown Canadian, been here multiple times and the service is phenomenal. 10/10 meal 10/10 service 10/10 atmosphere. Curly haired guy was great and not racist at all as previous reviews claimed.
Fish and chips are great and patio is nice, my only feedback is that they should not allow dogs on the patio.

This was our first time eating at this place in Tobermory, Ontario. Our expectation for the food was quite high as the view was amazing from the patio. However, it did not meet the standard at all. We ordered fish and chips, the fish tacos, and a side piece of fish. The fish in the fish and chips were very small, considering the hefty price they charged. Furthermore, it was underseasoned, which also applied for the fries. The tarter sauce was also bought and not homemade. Next, the tacos were not even tacos. It was extremely small, tasted subpar, and was not really a taco and more of a borito as it was soft shelled and wet. The side fish was alright, but again, underseasoned. If this restaurant does not fix such simple things, I don't think I'll be visiting again. On the side note, service was fairly good and the view of course was noteworthy.

We went in for late lunch after a tiring day, starving along with my old parents.The waitress was very sweet and friendly and invited us in. But the host a young boy with curly hair and a cowboy hat, his actions were quite racist. As we entered, we noticed empty seats at the front patio area, where we requested if we could be seated there at a corner seating under the shade. The host responded, that front patio section is closed, so asked us to be seated at the back, which we felt reasonable and followed the host. But as we were seated at the back, we noticed a lot of guests being seated at the front patio area as per their request and Noone with color were seated at the front patio. We requested the waitress if we could be seated at the front, as we requested earlier. As per the waitress's request, we still heard him saying No and finally he agreed to seat us at the front but under the sun and with less shade. Also without any apology / reasoning or justification for his actions. We noticed that the seating placement were giving in a very biased manner, and very picky. The food was good. But the host's actions were pretty rude, very partial and racist. For the guests came after us, the host gave the front patios seatings as per their request. We won't be back here again, due to this unpleasant experience, that too with older people.
