This is now the second time this has happened to me. I work in the service industry, and I cook and serve food. I’ve been going to Novadel for many years. The price has slowly increased, which is understandable but the food and the quality has drastically decreased.!!! I ordered two small donuts. I paid $20 and I got a quarter cup of meat, cheese and lettuce.!!!! In total! I’ve added a photo for proof when I opened the Donaire I was working and I showed customers and they were all mortified that somebody would charge $10 for $1.50 meal because that’s all it was worth so I returned it and had another one made it wasn’t much better! I will be contacting the owner as this is slowly getting worse and worse he’s trying to go and Local employees that work here and the other companies close by I’ll go in order there for lunch and until this changes we will not and we will be posting this

I love Nova Deli and have been eating here for a couple decades lol. Good donairs, meat not overly spicy and sauce is sweet which goes nice with the flavour of the meat. Toppings are plentiful and yes they are cold which to me makes it better.

Got donairs on Thursday. The meat was cut into square strips like French fries. Since when is this a thing? Donator meat is always shaved off, not cut into weird chunks. As a Nova Scotia this almost guarantees I will not return. Also, could you spend a bit of money cleaning the place up?

I have been eating at nova deli for over a decade and today was the worst experience I've had by far with donairs.
The donair sauce was like water, producing over a cup of liquid poured out of the wrap. The wrap it self was stale and the meat was cold.
I'm very disappointed in the quality of what I got today and if this is the standard of what nova deli is producing now I will not be back.

Our food was amazing tonight, my first time having donair and will definitely be coming back regularly as a family! Very friendly staff who even let us try before we buy. Overall can say one of my favourite foods now!

Too bad there’s no zero star rating because that’s what their food is worth. Each time I go there I’m more disappointed. They changed their sauce a few years ago and obviously refuse to listen to their customers according to many other reviews, it’s so runny that most of it leaks out the bottom which makes it totally impossible to eat without a huge sticky mess. Today, their meat was spicier than usual and EXTREMELY dry. And as many have mentioned, it’s pretty much cold when you eat it. So there’s absolutely nothing good about it. To the owner: you should listen to your customers because without them you don’t have a business!!

Agreeing with the low reviews. This is not east coast donairs. Runny sauce that isnt the sweet and vinegary sauce you expect. The seasoning in the meat isn't even close and meat is not crispy as it should be. Tomatoes and onions julianned instead of rough diced. Those on here rating 5 stars do not know what a halifax donair tastes like. Just a messy waste of money. Tips for the owners check out Dashs donair recipe online and see what goes in the real thing.
