The food was SO good. It was seriously delicious. Coming from Montreal and having there a bunch of the best tables you can have, it’s normally hard for me to be in awe of a restaurant, especially a soup/salads/sandwich lunch spot, but I have to say that The Counter left me in awe. Yes, it was that good. Soups (mushrooms, tomato) were flavorful, the ingredients in the sandwiches where tasty and fresh and the sandwiches themselves were perfectly executed. Food is well-priced and you can have full or half portions. Definitely a place to put on your list! As a bonus, the staff was really friendly!

Cannot say enough about this restaurant. The food and service is absolutely amazing. Been twice in one week and will be coming back.
Enjoyed a delish lunch, while sitting outside on their patio. Every bite of my beet salad and Little Piggy Hammy Sammy on focaccia was outstanding. What a great place to relax by the water on a sunny day. The fast paced service oriented staff were all amazing too! Definitely recommend it, when visiting Trenton.

The Counter Restaurant is hands down our favourite lunch restaurant. Again today we had a delicious wrap that was their days special. They combined the flavours of favourite appetizers, wings, deep fried dill pickles, veggies, spinach dip and made it all work in a wrap. They are always so imaginative with their flavour combinations and they are ALWAYS delicious!!
Kylie and Braden always knock it out of the park!!!

A local gem! Went for lunch on a Monday and almost didn’t get a table at 1pm! Lucky we did and thoroughly enjoyed the beet salad. At the table the turkey sandwich and soup were also very well enjoyed! If you don’t usually get a lunch “hour” you should book a day off this summer to make it in to The Counter on a week day - or count down the days until they’re open on Saturdays again. Will absolutely return and recommend.
