My wife and I came from Kingston to tweed yesterday and we popped in for a bite to eat.
I must say the turkey club was the best one I have had in years.
The French fries are awesome.
My wife has the cheeseburger and loved it because it was a homemade patty she said it was awesome.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone going to tweed.

Very disappointed with our experience. While the atmosphere of the restaurant was great, the service completely ruined our visit. Our server was extremely slow and bumped into our table and us several times without saying anything, which was very uncomfortable. . By the time we got our food it was cold.
We didn't say anything while we were there as we were upset and did not want to create a scene, but this really affected our morning. This was our first visit and most likely our last to this restaurant. I have never bothered writing reviews before but this was such an uncomfortable experience that I felt it necessary.

I stopped at the Gateway restaurant on Friday September 12 for breakfast and found they had a new waitress (I was told she has been there for years but I had never seen her before) Now although she was a very sweet lady she is not a good waitress she moves extremely slow, we waited almost 20 minutes for our coffee as I noticed the other tables were also left waiting quite a long time for menus and drinks. The cook had to come from the kitchen to deliver food to the tables, by the time our food came out it was only lukewarm. There was only 4 tables including ours at the time.
The food was good but would have been much better if it was served hot.

I stopped here about 2 years ago and have told a billion stories about how great our breakfast was this day. The story of how this restaurant came to be is incredible, the food was fantastic and I felt right at home. The atmosphere is something I tell everyone about every change I get. For the life of me I cannot remember the name of the woman who owns the place, but she was so kind, welcoming and fun! We will make an effort to stop here on our next jaunt through Tweed

Wow! Breakfast was fantastic. Veggie bowl with real home fries. Excellent old fashioned home cooked food. Good coffee too! We’ll be back.

Service was perfect 🥰 nice homestyle family restaurant. Real mashed potatoes were a treat although the liver was overcooked. Veggies were perfect. Loved that there is a senior menu to choose from.

The breakfast here is just right - soft poached were exactly that, and served “dry” - so many places serve them swimming in water, here they were perfect. Sausages were piping hot and very tasty. Toast was freshly served and of quality bread. Coffee was of great flavour. Breakfast is a fairly simple meal but often served poorly but here it was great, very good price and delightful service. Away the lads - in joke with owner!!
