Stopped by for a coffee as i was passing through fun ottawa to montreal. The coffee was the best i have had in a long time. What a delightful surprise! I didn't try any of the pastries but they all looked amazing and fresh. This spot will be a destination for me from now on. It's good enough to make a specific side trip.

We love visiting The Broken Kettle when we go to Vankleek Hill. The carrot cake is AMAZING and their coffee is good! As Christmas we had their gingerbread with a tasty white sauce with was delicious. We also love browsing the boutique when we are there.

Excellent coffee and lots of interesting gift items. It is fun to find great things to help plan a nice meal. All specialty products not available in larger stores.
A great place for good coffee, speciality coffee drinks, sweat treats, and ice cream. No bagels but who needs them with high quality breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Owners are some of the kindest in town. Proven quality after having been open for 5 years. Will return many times in the future!!Kid-friendliness: Super kind to kids, seen the owners provide them the attention and patience they are due.

I’ve love in town for several years. The town is well aware I have a child with special needs. After my son had daily been stealing my money I asked the owner NOT to sell to my son as he was telling from our home to obtain an overpriced bagel. She proceeded to tell me that “I will not monitor my customers” my son had to move out of town to his fathers. I have been in a dark deep depression for 4 months because people like this will not listen in my town. I made posters saying do not give money ext. it’s like a beer sign so not feed the bears people will not because it says so. But I do my diligence as a mother and make posters and make sure that my son who has reeked havoc is not able to do so with the community well aware. Well that did not happen. Unfortunately the broken kettle owner had to sell her home to keep her store and so paying her rent is more important that my sons well being and respecting a parent that not only asks you not to sell to their child but also is informed it’s from stolen money! Burt coffee, underdressed bagels and a set of morals that no parent should have to deal with. If a parent calls you and tells you the child is stealing from the parent to stop selling them your expensive products and your response is im not going to monitor my customers. You deserved what I called you before I hung up the phone. You should be ashamed of yourself. What you did was wrong. If my son come home and you do this again I can assure you there will be a bigger issue this time around after living without him for months because people like you wouldn’t respect me as a parent.

We wanted a dessert after visiting Beau's for lunch. The date square was spot on but huge. The brownies were many. They had so many options and the coffee was very very good.
