Highly recommend. Good, delicious food. Pleasant, friendly atmosphere. Good service. Feels like home.
Singer/ MC Svetlana Medianik made my birthday celebration into real celebration. All of my guests were happy ( even picky eaters- grandkids).
Big, heartwarming THANK YOU!

I came with my elderly parents for dinner to celebrate my father's 80th bday. We were the only customers in the restaurant on a Friday night! This should've been a red flag. We ordered Steak, Chicken Kiev and Chicken Tabbaka with buckwheat for the three orders. A half hour later, we were told they ran out of buckwheat. We were offered mashed potatoes or fries instead. We opted for mashed potatoes which was lumpy and tasteless.
The food was very low quality. The steak was practically inedible. Probably microwaved to thaw then improperly cooked. I wanted to return it but my father wouldn't as he did not want the fuss. The Kiev oozed water (not butter) as soon as I cut into it. The texture and taste of the chicken definitely says frozen not fresh. The Tabbaka was ok but also definitely frozen chicken.
For the entire hour that we were there, there was a strong detergent/cleaner fluid odour in the air. The server was OK. I am not sure how this restaurant can stay in business serving this low quality food!
Definitely a negative and unpleasant experience overall.
We headed to Cafe Landower for dessert to try and celebrate my dad's bday after this very subpar dinner!

Real home made flavour....Great!
I celebrated my 70th year birthday in A Yiddishe Mame
Restaurant with over 30 people of friends and family. It is very inviting and family friendly restaurant. The food was very delicious and with a lot of variety. The service was great, staff was friendly, courteous and professional.
Definitely would recommend celebrating any occasions there or visiting just for dinner.

A Yiddish mama should serve kosher food. This place is not kosher.
Dietary restrictions: No kosher foods. They are serving meat and dairy foods together.
