We decided to try this restaurant because it had good reviews and was nearby. We ordered a sashimi and sushi platter. The quality of the fish was subpar. The sushi rice was mushy and did not stick together properly. Perhaps their other food is better, but we did not enjoy the platter. The only thing we liked was the wasabi.

I went there to dine in with my friend. Upon arriving , the owner was very unwelcoming , and my friend and I experienced horrible customer service the entire time . The owner was extremely rude and charged us incorrect price for the food. Additionally he behaved very unprofessionally and acted like it was our fault when he incorrectly charged us for the food. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

My boyfriend and I did take out last night. He often eats from Ariake but this was my first time as I live out out of town.I had chicken Udon and Green Dynamite Roll. With the Udon soup, the broth was flavourful and rich, plus the chicken breast was tender. The Green Dynamite Roll was also delicious and I had no idea the pieces were going to be so big!I also like how the Udon bowl is microwaveable.I would definitely eat here again!

The owner is rude and should learn how to be polite to clients. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

I had hoped to never have to do this but I need to speak my mind. It seems the more and more I eat here I start to notice so many glaring issues. I really just don't know how to explain it, so I am just going to start. It seems this restaurant constantly forgets stuff on delivery items such as the tempura sauce for the gyoza (gotta eat dry gyoza) or the wasabi, ginger and soy sauce (gotta eat plain sushi). I find it hard to imagine that you guys forget the most basic and important items when it comes to delivery. It also seems that the quality has gone down as well. What used to be filling gyozas are now just a battered shell with a tiny bit of meat. My last batch I questioned if there was any meat at all. The sushi and sashimi get smaller. One day you get a nice big piece of salmon, the other day it's super tiny. The consistency is just so off. The wonton soup will one day have a flavorful broth and another time it will taste like water. This use to be my spot but I just can't support this anymore. It's sad because it was so close to home and reasonably priced but I am going to have to find another joint.

Regular japanese food, but shrinkflation is serious here. Prices feel on the high side for what you get.

High quality sushi that has been a staple in Thornhill for many years

Short and simple! This place gives you "crab sticks " ( the processed garbage ones that you'll get in lowest end sushi places) in a 50 cad sashimi platter. Drive on other mile and you will get better quality sushi/sashimi. Never again in this "hole".

I been coming here for a while now. Much better than all you can-eat around here and is actually cheaper at the end if I purchase the tray. Quiet and friendly. This is probably my favorite spot around here when it come to sushi.

This place was good. The decor was really cute and we got seated in the “little private rooms”. We both got the dynamite roll combo I believe and I upgraded mines with avocado. The workers were really kind so it made up for the okay sushi. I don’t know if it was just how the batch of rice that day but it was on the dryer side. Overall a good experience and I wouldn’t mind coming back here if I was in the area.
