I went to here on September 24 at 8:56 pm. The staff told me the store was already closed at 9:00 pm. But according to Google, the closing time is 10:00 pm. The staff said the two stores are separate, but even if the closing time is 9:00 pm, shouldn’t I still be able to make a purchase when I arrived at 8:56? I felt very angry, and the service was terrible.

I’ve been a long time fan of Bambu and loved their drinks. Unfortunately that is not the case anymore. I ended up going to their store today without realizing that they rented their kitchen to another business and it was their opening day. The place smelled of smoke and cigarettes. There was no space for Bambu customers to sit. I had ordered two drinks and the Pandan Jelly had an unpleasant taste to it, as if it had been infused with the smell of cigarettes and smoke. It tasted really bad. And the jelly was hard in the centre like it was old or not cooked well. It was odd to see beer being poured into red plastic beer cups right next to where my drink was being prepared. Probably won’t be returning again in the future and will get my Vietnamese drinks elsewhere. What a shame.

Disappointing Experience at Bambu Desert

I recently dined at Bambu Desert and was left thoroughly unimpressed. For the prices they charge, I expected a lot more in terms of both quantity and quality. I ordered the Awesome Trio Dessert, which, despite its enticing name, was a letdown. The portions were surprisingly small, making it hard to justify the hefty bill at the end of the meal.

Additionally, the dish had way too many water, less beans, which felt out of place and unappetizing. To top it off, the Panda Jelly was mushy and lacked the texture and flavor one would expect from a well-made dessert. Everything felt rushed and not well-prepared, which was disappointing given the hype surrounding this place.

It's frustrating to pay a premium for such a lackluster experience. I definitely won’t be returning, and I can’t recommend Bambu Desert to anyone looking for a satisfying dining experience. Save your money and seek out better options!

The pandan waffles are my favourite but this time I was served a burnt overdone waffle. By the time I checked the waffle I was already home and couldn't ask for a new one.

I usually don’t write reviews but I have to for this I usually come here and they always make the drink right but this time is insane like what is this? I asked for the Vietnamese coffee blended which is my usual order and I got this monstrosity it is literally half blended. I don’t know how they thought this was acceptable to serve to customers as a blended drink but ok hopefully this is the last time this happens because this place is usually good

I tried a Vietnamese ché (homemade beverage) for the first time and it wasn't bad. I got the Bambu Favourite, which is vegan. The loads of jelly were a bit much on the palate and chewing, but it was interesting to try the drink. The coconut flavour was mixed with ice, which made the drink taste diluted. There are many vegan options on the menu, but the labels are a bit deceiving. When asking the employee for confirmation on the vegan ingredients in the drinks labeled as vegan, they couldn't answer firmly. I'm not sure if the employee was unsure or if there are some ingredients that are ambiguous about being vegan; either way, the confusion should be cleared up.

Their mangonada is sooooo good. I showed ppl my drink and like I swear everyone asked where it was from. I'm actually obsessed.
