I haven’t been to this famous restaurant in years. I was really happy to see that the food is still great and the portions are big. I’m so impressed, so I want to say a big thank you to California Sandwiches for keeping their food and service so good after all these years.

This location is really chintzy with their portions. Theres barely any meat in the sandwich. We never have issues with other locations.

I'm a somewhat-regular here. Have ordered here and there throughout the years and I've always gotten veal-xtrahot- cheese. Finally tried the eggplant Parm and damn, this was so so good.
Food is always sooo fresh and massive - which is highly fair coz of the price. Love this restaurant chain - which is not something one can say about any chain at all. I do wish they offered more apps in this restaurant like the one in heartland (sauga) does.
P.S. shout-out to that one boy cashier who did me a solid the last time I came. Thank you so much for the sandwich!

Order the hot peppers on the side for my chicken sandwich. they put it hot pepper spread all over my sandwich I took a bit without knowing and my mouth was on complete fire. I called and they sent me a new one, and the chicken on so soggy it was not eatable the breading came completely off the sandwich. I waited 2 hours for this chicken sandwich and it was a complete disaster to are evening. I wouldn’t recommend ordering uber eats from this location.

By FAR, the best veal sandwich in Toronto! Every location has the same recipe, tender cut, sweet tomato sauce, medium or hot peppers, mushroom and cheese Options. Mouthwatering as I write this review.😋
I have no idea where to get a better veal sandwich. You would think it's only the tender cuts of veal (generous portions as well) but the bread and sauce that compliment it, incredible. Like I said I challenge you to find another like this one. Staff are always very friendly and the place is always clean.

This is one establishment that hasn't changed. I've been going there since 1970 when sandwiches were .75 cents!

Came in for the first time and last time. Took a while to get service when there were no customers, which was 3 in the afternoon. Finally, I ordered 2 veal sandwiches for takeout. The girl with long dark hair on the outside window was busy talking about her evening the other day and left my sandwiches sitting and getting cold. She continued to talk to the staff in the kitchen in the opposite window, turned around and looked at me, and continued talking. Someone in the kitchen told her to wrap the sandwiches, for I was waiting. She wrapped my sandwiches slowly and continued her conversation. She finally finished talking and gave me my sandwiches. Got home unwrapped the sandwiches and the breading on the veal peeled off and no vegitables on it. It was cold and dry. The veal was tough. Also to mention the tables and floors in the place were dirty. The hot table looked unappealing and dried up. Most of the reviews I read were good, but for me, it was a terrible experience.
