Churrasqueira Costa Verde

I ordered it from Uber. When I asked for white meat I wasn’t expecting butterfly chicken fillet. I wanted like a chicken breast the way that all Portuguese chicken comes. The chicken was incredibly spicy. I asked for sauce on the side, which was spilled literally everywhere because of the poor packaging and the eggplant and grilled vegetable vegetables were completely raw but BURNT from a Way too hot grill, I mean, I can’t even chew the eggplant whatsoever. It just is rock hard. I mean, I’m Greek. This is terrible eggplant for god sake. It’s just completely uncooked and you have to chew in 1000 times and then you still can’t swallow it because it’s so fibrous. This is not good Portuguese chicken whatsoever.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!!!! My cousin got Salmonella poisoning from this place last night (Jan 2, 2024) and ended up in the hospital after being in the washroom all night and getting a fever.

We know it was absolutely from here because it was the only thing he ate the entire day!! We have since called and complained to these people for their complete disregard for their food. This will be the last time we ever order food from this restaurant. Never again. Stay AWAY!!!!

I ordered the food from Costa Verde for our staff at our retirement home and everyone enjoyed. The chicken was hot, juicy and lots of flavour, the potatoes were soft melting in your mouth, the rice was also very good. I highly recommend Costa Verde for any occassion eventhough I am not Portuguese. Thank you Costa Verde for your delicious food. St. Bernards Retirement Home.

Honestly probably one of my favorite chicken spots with a wide variety of other foods Go to (whole grilled chicken , rice, beef stew, macaroni salad, and coleslaw, with their amazing hotsauce. Never had a bad food experience, staff is always on the move and working hard. I havn't been to another churrasqueira as good as this.

Chicken was delicious! It was very flavorful and juicy! The rice was cooked to my liking (not too hard or mushy). The potatoes had a lovely mild spice and went well with the drippings from the chicken. I wish there was extra hot sauce provided for dipping. Other than that, it was fantastic!

First time there. Got chicken, rice, potatoes, cod. Everything was good. The chicken can come off the grill a few seconds sooner, it was a bit over done but I think that's how Portuguese chicken is typically done? I also loved the fact it was live charcoal ??

This is the worst takeout restaurant I’ve ever been to. It’s incredibly disorganized, especially during the dinner rush. The line was nearly out the door, and there seemed to be no system in place for handling orders. They simply write your name and order on a scrap of paper. Meanwhile, people who had called ahead walked in, gave their name, and instantly picked up their food. Many of us waited 45 minutes with no progress, while one woman who was waiting with us stepped outside, called in her order, and received her food in just five minutes. It was ridiculous to witness, though clever on her part, but it left the rest of us feeling frustrated and upset. The staff constantly answered the phone but completely ignored the customers waiting inside. Why are you prioritizing calls when people are waiting? After 50 minutes of frustration, I—and several others—just walked out. Absolutely ridiculous business practices. Common sense is not common!!!!!
