Absolutely disgusting....

Absolutely filthy restaurant...i ordered a shawarma with fries and pop...fries were great...shawarma was worst I've ever had...as the owner was preparing my sandwich he used some sort of retractable tool (blade) to slice the pita which came out of his pocket and definitely not cleaned daily by the looks of it...than he grabs a dirty towel (rag) and wipes that counter but drags half of the rag through the vegetable trays actually touching the vegetables that were about to be on my sandwich so of course I had to minimize what was going on my sandwich now...than as im scanning the kitchen I notice how dirty and disorganized everything is...all the bottles that have sauce in them are disgusting looking and have caked on dry sauce down the sides and top...the owners clothing are sweat pants and a t-shirt which are totally filthy and no apron at all...very unprofessional looking...as everyone knows messy owner, messy home, messy vehicle, messy attire means the restaurant is gonna be messy as well...it all starts up top...I used a fork to eat the chicken out of the pita...finished the fries and as im scanning the dining area I can see black mold all along the the bottom.of the brick walls surrounding the entire restaurant...the tables are all dirty...yet there's only one customer in the restaurant...trust me I may sound harsh but im also a germ phobe and OCD very clean person...as alot of people are...so with the owner not caring about cleanliness it makes it very uncomfortable to enjoy any of the food he's offering...there's a back kitchen where he actually communicates through a window to tell the cooks another order has to be prepared, fries, rice, salads, etc. But he literally has garbage bags and tinfoil covering the opening window so u can't really see who's back there or the conditions which I can only imagine being worse...very disappointing...just gross to be honest...clean up your act buddie, comb your hair, wear clean professional clothing, maybe try purchasing a uniform or apron with your logo...and definitely clean your entire restaurant from.head to toe...youre getting a ONE STAR review because that's what your establishment deserves...I wasted my time and money taking a chance!

Chicken shawarma dinner is amazing. We ordered 3 dinners and it was more than plenty for the 4 of us. Salad and sauces are also good. The staff are also friendly and kind. Highly recommend!

I ordered chicken dark kabob dinner, shawarma dinner, and beef kabob dinner. Nothing was awful, but overall this place left a lot to be desired. Nothing specific but generally the food was of pretty bad quality considering the prices, and that there are lots of other options for the same food in the area

Absolutely hidden gem in Thornhill. We are very picky and foodies. We ordered the Hummus, Eggplant salad, Chicken Sharwarma, and Chicken Shish Kebobs. All was Fantastico, and a must order. Go, go, go and try the food and if you can’t make it in for dine in then do food delivery off one of the apps. They have Thornhill and Newmarket locations.

I recently visited Dejavu Mediterranean, and I ordered the Lamb Dejavu Bowl with spicy fries and the Lamb Dejavu Dinner with potatoes and Greek salad. Considering that both dishes had the same meat, I found that the texture of both meats were completely different. The lamb pieces in the bowl was a lot softer, while the lamb pieces in the dinner was extremely tough and impossible to cut with the wooden cutlery provided. I ended up having to use my hands to attempt to eat it, but could not finish it as it was way too tough. In terms of the taste, the meat was well-seasoned, but it was noticeably salty. The salad was bland, and although the dressing was provided, it was very awkward mixing the salad in the cardboard container. It would have been better if the salad was placed in a completely enclosed mixing bowl. The potatoes were bland, but the spicy French fries were good. As general feedback, consider cutting the meat in much smaller pieces, and check that the meat is not impossible to cut with wooden cutlery before serving it. Perhaps ask customers if they want the salad mixed before serving it. As well, we found that the restaurant was freezing and the tables were not cleaned before we were seated. Perhaps my visit was just an off day.

I paid over 13$ for a pile of lettuce with chicken. Was charged 1.95 extra for taking away rice from a shawarma bowl ! Makes no sense. All I wantedd was to add salad to the shawarma bowl with rice.. which is clearly written on menu as 1.95 extra cost for garden salad. Then I was told there is a secret condition that rice has to be removed if I add salad for 1.95!!! . Never in my life have I seen such nonsense. Also the attitude and zero apology. I dont recommend
