I’ve been searching for authentic Batchoy in the GTA, and my friend/colleague Blessing—who’s a true foodie—recommended at Tropang Ilonggo. So today, I finally went to Vaughan to see if she was right. I even asked my man to drive me there just so I could try their Batchoy and Kalderetang Kambing.
Oh boy—this is exactly what I’ve been looking for! After 16 years in Canada, I was SO excited to take that first bite. It’s legit. The food is absolutely delicious.
The owner, April, even gave us a tour of the place. I love how the upstairs is set up—perfect for any occasion.
I’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes!

I've never had phillipino food so wasn't sure what to expect, the server explained the menu to me and recommended the batchoy which was pretty good. The pricing is reasonable. The restaurant itself was a little cluttered but I read a response from the owner that they are doing their best to prepare for a festival. Overall good experience.

My wife and I along with a good friend were just treated to an authentic Filipino food place here in Toronto. The servers and the owners were gracious and friendly and the taste of the food was exceptional! We had the arrozcaldo, Batchoy, Pares, sisig and chicken inasal. I was looking for something simple and tasty today and this place did not disappoint. I highly recommend you check them out.

I only wanted 1 dish- the Pansit Molo - for take out. It took them over 15 minutes to prepare it. In addition, they just placed the container with its very hot contents in a plastic bag without properly securing it. As a result, the contents spilled and caused 2nd degree burns on my hand.
The space was very cluttered and had air boxes strewn all over the place.
The Pancit Molo was meh as they just used the store bought dumplings instead of their own. It was disappointing.

First time here. Batchoy did not taste like how it should. Not even close. Same with chicken inasal and it was dry as well. Went there to try their food. Disappointed. Not coming back.

forgot to serve my husband’s drink, and the appetizer came out last. I think the server was trying to manage everything at once.

It’s a no for me, i’m sorry to say…my experience here was not good. We ordered the batchoy arrozcaldo and the pork isaw. First, drinks were served in 20 miniutes, we ordered soda and bottled water. Next pork isaw, i wanted to say something the moment it was served on the table but didn’t want to be rude, it was burnt and very small portion for $5, 5 little rings in a stick and burnt. Arrozcaldo, it was cold outside and very hot inside, what’s with that? Batchoy was ok. Long wait.
