First time dining here. We tried the Batchoy and Beef Pares. The Batchoy was good, but the Beef Pares was underwhelming — I’ve had better elsewhere. The rice portion was quite small; it would’ve been nice to have more. The place wasn’t busy, so service wasn’t an issue. Our server was very friendly and pleasant. However, the overall atmosphere of the restaurant felt a bit lacking.

April (owner) provides excellent customer service. She responds to all our inquiries about party booking and provided detailed information. Foods are superb. Atmosphere gives a friendly, relaxing and homey atmosphere. Great for all types of events.

I recently visited Tropang Ilongo, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. Despite hearing good things about this place, my visit did not live up to the expectations.

First and foremost, the waiting time was excessively long. We had to wait for a long time for our food, which is quite unacceptable, especially when the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. The staff seemed overwhelmed and disorganized, which contributed to the long wait times.

When our food finally arrived, I was particularly looking forward to the sizzling sisig, a dish I've always enjoyed elsewhere. However, to my dismay, the sizzling sisig was not sizzling at all. It was served lukewarm and lacked the characteristic sizzle and aroma that makes the dish so special. The taste was also quite bland, and it seemed like it had been sitting out for a while before being served.

Overall, my visit to Tropang Ilongo was a bad experience. The long waiting time and the poorly prepared sizzling sisig left me quite disappointed. I hope the management addresses these issues to improve the dining experience for future customers.

I stopped in for a much needed late lunch this past Thursday. Have never been and did not know what to expect. I was greeted in a very friendly manner, figured out what to eat and was sitting down with a good plate of food.
Tasted great and was a good amount as well. Would suggest to stop in when you are hungry and want some good food!

Was excited seeing such good reviews but got a sisig and paid 24 dollars for takeout. Soggy not crispy lacked flavour as well. Can’t say I’d recommend this.

Disappointed... I chose this spot since its the closest to work. As always, filipino CS is always on point but the food must speak for itself. For $15.80 takeout, the dish was lacluster. The sisig was extra oily/soft/room temp, the jasmine rice and fried egg was sufficient. It tastes more like a small leftover portion that went cold more than a memorable recommendation. Perhaps I caught them on a bad weekday afternoon. I expected more from a 4.7 with some nice photos.

Parking: Not sure why there's so much focus on parking - its a plaza in the commercial warehouse/supplier/parts region of Vaughan... there is plenty of parking right out front.

If you want to have a taste of the authentic batchoy of Iloilo, this is the place to be. They offer Very affordable price for Filipino favorites and the server is very kind and approachable. Feels like home. Food is great. Christian songs playing around that time is a plus for us.

I had my daughter’s first birthday at Tropang Ilongo and i have to say both service and food was fantastic!Ate April and her husband were very accommodating, they both went above and beyond to help serve our guests.Ate April and her staff helped my wife decorate for the event - I really appreciated the assistance.Venue space is nice and cosy - two floors and suitable for no more than 50 people, anything more than that - space gets a bit cramped.Food was great, my guests enjoyed the Filipino beef steak, chicken afritada and the baked salmon.Overall,Service - 5/5Food - 5/5Venue (I wish it could be bigger)

Service was ok. Batchoy taste was nowhere near La Paz or Iloilo's batchoy.

Got the sisig "bowl" for $5. Good taste especially with the sauce dripping on the rice. For the price, it's an excellent deal. In fact, I find their prices overall to be very reasonable especially nowadays. It's a big space with a 2nd floor so it might be something to consider for small gatherings and celebrations. I prefer the large hot table set-ups of other Filipino takeout spots as I tend to eat with my eyes. They have a small one which is somewhat expected given the location and lower traffic. Go try it! I was pleasantly surprised.

Ordered from doordash, came in a timely fashion, however the portion size was extremely underwhelming for the price. The packaging was misleading, it came in a large container size which had three sections. none of them were filled.Items I purchased were okay, nothing really stood out, but would not come here again.
