We (wife & I) just ordered 2x halibut grilled in garlic butter, chips etc for delivery. Sooo disappointing! Fish was tasteless and dry. Came as a flat rectangle, didnt even look like fish. I wonder if the proprietor has ever had a good fish 'n chips. It's hard to spend good money on poor fare. Not again.

First time at Halibut House at Major Mac location which was recommended by a friend. Had the Cod and chips takeout. Such incredibly friendly service and the fish and chips were delicious and perfectly cooked. Will definitely be back again! Highly recommend.

Genuinely Good fish and chips, English style, properly hand cut, nice batter and good portions. They are SO SLOW though. 25 minutes for my order, and I was literally there only one in the store.

Been here before and value for the money was a lot better prior….will not go back and don’t recommend it based on the high cost.

Food is consistently good, also specials are great value. Service is excellent from a long term employee. Place always feels spotless. Place is huge and never seems busy, hope they stay in business!

Had lunch with one of my sisters and two of my nieces. The first time I tried the fish tacos. They were awesome. One of my nieces had the cod lunch special. She was so happy, It was lightly battered. The chips were lovely, crispy and fresh. My other niece had the fish tacos also and shared with my sister. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Halibut House Fish & Chips Maple is great. The place is clean, well maintained, and bright. The service is friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. The prices are reasonable and the portions are a perfect size. They have The Cheesecake brand desserts, and their coffee is really good. I rate Halibut House Fish & Chips Maple 5 out of 5 mustaches.

Tried their Monday special Haddock and chips for $12.99. Amazing portions and nicely cooked fish. I was surprised how good the chips were as well, as this is where most fish & chip places lose marks. Went again on Wednesday and had their Cod and Chips special which was just as good!!

The place was very clean and the service was excellent. I honestly can’t fault anything. This is now my #1 place for fish and chips in York Region.

This is the best fish and chips restaurant I've been to! The place is incredibly clean and hygienic, which really adds to the experience. The food is absolutely delicious – perfectly cooked, fresh, and satisfying. The prices are absolutely worth it, considering the amazing taste and quality of the food. Highly recommend if you're looking for top-quality fish and chips!

They ruined my dinner with their ridiculously small portions and bad food. It was bland, packed poorly, unpleasant and costed me over $70. Wouldn’t even go here in person after ordering through a delivery service and receiving such grossness.
