I highly recommend this sushi restaurant. The taste, portions, and price are all excellent. Most importantly, the sushi was incredibly fresh, which I loved. The lunch menu, especially the sashimi rice bowl, is a real treat!

Hub Sushi is undeniably one of the best Japanese restaurants in Thornhill.
Their platters are diverse and nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. The freshness of the ingredients and the skill of the chefs shine through in every bite. It's a taste experience that's simply unforgettable, and their presentation is a work of art in itself.
My waitress was very friendly, and nice. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or simply looking to explore Japanese cuisine,Hub Sushi is a must-visit. It's a gem in Thornhill's culinary scene that's truly worth savoring.

Just passed by and have a quick lunch on Saturday here with my minor.I didn’t expect many fruit flies once our food were placed on the table. After the air con was on, the flies were gone. While ordering, I was recommended by a waitress all the cooked meat items were found under BBQ in the menu for my minor. In fact, the meat was not fully cooked, just torched. One of our item is Rainbow Dragon. I think the waitress was not knowledgeable of their food items or not able to understand why I specifically want cooked meat, but at least reconfirming this while ordering will be much appreciated. I hope this restaurant can be improved.

Seriously tasty food, creative presentation, excellent service and comfortable atmosphere. Best Japanese food in town for ourselves and to bring friends/family to. Price is reasonable too!

We ordered tonight and after many excellent meals ordered, we actually had to check and verify if we had ordered from another restaurant. The shusi was fishy and the teriyaki beef missed everything that we had previously experienced. While a harsh review, it needs to be told.

Hub Sushi has always been one of my fav sushi restaurant for my family and I in North York. We’re there at least 4 times a year. We have a party 12, it’s hard to get reservations for that large of a party on such short notice especially for a small restaurant like Hub Sushi.
However every time we call they were able to set a table aside for us no issues. This time around was no exception. We do eat a bit earlier at 5 pm so there was plenty of seating.

We arrived early and received our table. I check in on Yelp and was pleasantly surprised to get a 20% coupon discount on a special roll. I proceeded with to ask the server what rolls the discount applies to in the menu. The server said they have a new owner and not able to honour the discount. That’s how I found out it was under new management.

They do have a VIP service where you register online and they give you a free order of fried gyoza or edamame for each visit which they did honour. Thank goodness! However they no longer serve with ponzu sauce. The gyoza was served with the his sweet and sour sauce.

Service was terrible. Maybe it was under new management and they were still getting use to the kitchen but our food came very staggered and took a while considering we were not the only ones in the whole restaurant. They mixed up my sister’s order of a teriyaki chicken sushi roll, they gave her the teriyaki dinner. But when they corrected the order, her teriyaki chicken rolls came with a piece of hair on the roll. She lost her appetite after seeing the hair and tried to cancel the order. But the server said they can’t cancel it and will remake the rolls with no hair. They did end up charging for her order.she didn’t end up eating it when the order came and was worried they just picked off the hair.

My daughters waited for over an hour for their spicy seafood udon noodle soup. To have the server come to us an hour later to tell us they can’t make the spicy udon seafood noodle soup. I asked why she said they don’t have seafood and I said how about chicken? They proceed to tell me they don’t have the spicy broth either!
So we switched to a stir fry chicken teriyaki udon. It came over cooked and the noodles and veggies were mushy and soggy.

I gave them 3 stars since the steak teriyaki, ebi sushi and Sashimi was still good.

It’s too bad that we didn’t have a good experience here and will probably not come back
