I ordered original and cheese katsu on this Friday. The original one was okay, but the cheese one was smelly, I guess cook didn't defrosted pork properly, so it was bit watery. Those orders for my kids. If I tasted from the beginning, I would complain right away.

Did take out for lunch on Thursday. One of the donkatsu dish was not cut, and requested eating utensils missing - a knife to cut the donkatsu, missing spoon for soup orders. Used to love this place's soondae soup but it was awful. The soondae was not cut properly and cold. Guessing the lazy chef in the kitchen just dumped the uncut frozen soondae into hot soup - crossing her fingers and hoping it to be warmed up. Nice try but didn't work the way you planned. Although you have bad reviews on CASMO, i didnt really care but no wonder why you're keep having customers with bad experiences. Hope you would come back to your norm. The cashier was very nice but I prefer good quality food. BTW, your bakery products from Kyu's bake Lab are not as good as before. What happen to your excellent skilled employees?

It's usually 4-5 points, but they always give me too little rice. Below average.

I love this place. Their Sundae gukbab is so delicious. It is the best sundae gukbab in Toronto. Owner Chef Peter keeps updating their service menu, so people can try and crave a variety of Korean authentic delicious dishes.

Very slow service, and waited over 35 mins for fast food. We ordered the Busan pork soup. Why does it take this long when most of the ingredients should be ready for service? They blamed it on the buzzer. So we caught them on a bad day but the owner was not apologetic nor offered any recourse. We won’t be returning.

I ordered two soups and a pork cutlet through Uber Eats, but one of the soups was omitted. There was also white mold growing on the stone foil that came with it.

I ordered pork cutlet and two soups through Uber Eats, but I only got soup without the pork cutlet. ^^ Do you give it to me without double checking?

HIDDEN GEM ALERT: @menkatsu_markham Same owner as the once highly rated Ramen restaurant downtown called Tokyo Ramen. Owner Chef Peter, one of the kindest and funniest people I've met within my food content days.Ramen: Top tier and affordable!? WHAT! The pork was super flavourful, the broth was next level and so rich, and did say the price is very affordable compared to some ramen shops?Sweet potato Katsu: OMG why didn't we try this earlier. The addition of sweet potato is genius. This is a must try! I've never had this anywhere else.shopsonyonge food court has some of the best, bang for your buck, comfort food in the GTA. So many amazing local restaurants serving up quality food.

Visiting Menkatsu in the World on Yonge food court is, well, a bit of a rollercoaster. I've been multiple times, and the experience varies greatly depending on who mans the cashier. In other words, stay away from the owner guy. The owner's attempt at humour left us feeling a bit cold. When my friend, new to the place, asked for recommendations, his reply was a terse, "would I sell it if it didn't taste good?" Not exactly what you'd call customer-friendly. And no, we did not get a recommendation. Also, they seem to have an issue with certain credit cards like Amex, and grumble and make excuses which could be easily solved with a clear sign about accepted payment methods. (Well, this time I did notice a sign NO AMEX -- finally! About time.) Food-wise, the ramen broth is a bit salty for my taste, egg was a bit bland, and the soondae portions are laughably small. On the brighter side, their soups (국밥) are quite good, so this specifically is what I come back for. And don't get me started on their pickup and UberEats service (or lack of?). Missing items, like the extra radish kimchi (깍두기) I paid for, happened more than once. And when you call, total lack of acknowledgement and apology. So, if you're thinking of giving Menkatsu a try, maybe temper your expectations. Food is a 3-4, but service is near-zero. It's a food court experience, so don't go there for ambience, of course.

Ordered Spicy Miso Ramen to go. Once ready it came in a bowl for dining in. I mentioned I ordered it to go and the cook yelled "no you didn't" but he never took the order. Broth had some flavour but was barely warm, the egg was just a regular hard boiled egg that was over cooked and cold inside. I have eaten here many times before and the service and quality is inconsistent.

Good ramen noodle texture. I expected better chashu and egg.

Nagasaki seafood noodle is really delicious. It has a lot of fresh seafood. Ramen was delicious, but this is better.
