I recently purchased food from this establishment, and I was extremely disappointed with my experience. The noodles were unappetizing, with an unpleasant taste as if they had been cooked in an unclean pan, and their texture was overly soggy. The chicken was also soggy and lacked quality. Additionally, the portion sizes were very small considering the price, which felt unreasonable and stingy. Overall, the food was not worth the money, and the poor quality combined with the unsatisfactory customer service has ensured that I will not be returning.

I have no words how we were treated at the counter 🤦🏻♀️ There was no ppl in line,the woman and man on the picture were talking on their own language and I waited at lest 2 minutes before they give us any attention even tho we called them! After I asked them to try a pc of chicken that my friend wanna to get,the man started talking very rude and disrespectfully by saying “we don’t give samples” rolling his eyes on us and continued mocking us with the girl beside again on their language! Which is very unprofessional. The owner should pay attention to who he hire for his business,because there’s a reason that ppl write negative reviews and the shop have only 2 stars. We should’ve check before ordering anything from here ! 🤦🏻♀️

Foe the last 15 years, I visit here at least once a week. Very reasonably priced. Food status is random. Sometimes so so, sometimes acceptable, sometimes so amazing. And during amazing time, food is incredibly yummy! I especially strongly recommend shanghai nuddle and general tao or sesame chicken. When you visit at right time, you would taste the best sesame chicken ever.

Everything on the menu is expensive and the portions are super small, they prioritize giving you vegetables rather than food. When you demand or ask too much, all the young and old Chinese staff there will not like it and will be annoyed, and will even scold you loudly regardless of your surroundings. I don't understand why weekends and holidays are always crowded with people lining up to order, to hear curses, and to be lectured. Although there are still many restaurant around there.

honestly, have not been to New Wok since I used to work in this mall a looong time ago. I knew this place as a decent7-8 out of 10 for mall Chinese food court. Now I have been eating at Nations at Hwy 7 and Weston and it was $10.99 for carbs and two options PLUS a small soup, but the price went up to $11.99 so I happened to accompany a co-worker to pick up something and to grab some food. Well, I had that Chinese food craving so I thought I'd stop by and see what the price would be thinking it would be like $15-$17. For Carbs plus 2 choices it was $11.49 or so! To top it all off, I can say as a Korean, married to a Chinese woman but born in Canada kinda guy, this food that I got was near restaurant quality, like MR Congee or Congee Queen. Mind you I got Scechuan Beef and the Black Bean Chicken with Bean Sprout option instead of carbs which I was impressed with. My friend and I were shocked and delighted and couldnt stop talking about how much better the food was and it was 50 cents less but I mean no side soup but still. Now I'm pissed bc I can't find them on and Food Delivery App. Bstards! lol Anyway, needless to say we will go back to check for consistency but I'm giving the food 5 stars today. Service adequate nothing special, typical Vaughan customer service. No smile not friendly but efficient. Atmosphere? It's Vaughan Mills....plenty of seating, pretty clean, what else can I say? Very happy with this pickup order. OH ONE BAD THING NEW WOK. Portion kinda sucks. Get about 10% less food than Nations. The take out box is divided into three sections and you can feel at the bottom that it tapers in a lot so whatever food you see above the half way mark of the tray is pretty much what you are getting. But Food is still very nice. Meat quality too, much better than most Chinese food court food. Looking at other reviews, I really believe they hired a proper cook from a good Chinese restaurant so the quality is so much better.

I’ve tried many wok-style fast food places, and this is by far the worst. I visited a few times in 2024 and it was acceptable, but in 2025 the experience completely fell apart. The staff quality has dropped significantly — I honestly suspect they’re hiring untrained workers. The more expensive your order, the more you lose: portions are noticeably smaller, and if you mispronounce a dish, they’ll mock you to your face. Their payment system is outdated and often fails, and if you don’t notice, the cashier will shout at you as if it’s your fault. This kind of service shouldn’t exist in Canada.

It was shocking how they refused me for tasting. I requested again but one of the girls told me that they don't provide tasting samples. It was the first time and last time at that place.
