Loved this place when I first started going years ago. The food was, and is , still great and fresh to order. I haven't returned in a while and will not. Berto has become extremely rude, arrogant, and is clearly prejudice. He is 100% racist towards people with brown skin. To the point where it's obvious and uncomfortable. The last experience I had which was the final straw, I was behind a man in line (italian man) who Berto was very nice and friendly and smiley with, when me and a friend approached (I am Canadian btw, but my skin is brown, i was born and raised in Canada) Berto's face changed, he first made us wait while he took a 5 minute call, and purposely extended the call to make us wait longer. When we came up he didn't say a word, was disgusted just looking at us ( I'm a professional business owner , dressed nicely), I ordered the same thing as the person infront, he told us to wait an hour and a half while telling the gentleman infront to wait only 20 minutes..... He encouraged us to eat elsewhere. I was appalled, but I understood this was very clearly a race thing. I know personally some of the issues Berto has, but that should never ever affect your customer service and dealings with people who have done nothing to you in your personal life. Berto if you read this, it's a shame the way you treat people based on their skin color. I am extremely disappointed, as I used to think you were great and spent tons of money at your place. Will have to take my business elsewhere.

If you haven't been here, you don't know what you're missing. Stop reading reviews and go. Steak wrap is great, but the other ones are awesome too. Don't forget the hot sauce.
For all the reviews complaining about esrly close time, obviously they're used to consuming the subpar products available from everywhere else in the city, and havent been to Berto's often enough. They sell out of stuff all the time since they keep their products fresh, Only buying their projected amount so as not to waste and have top quality for their customers. If you want to be sure that what you want is there, get there BEFORE 2PM or CALL AHEAD and place your order for pickup. Also, the cheesecake is amazing.

Called on Saturday around 3pm to see if they were still open. The woman on the phone was very rude and said “oh no we’re done for the day”. Said that on the Google page it says open til 4pm and then the woman hung up without any response. So nice.

The food here is absolutely amazing, which makes writing this review so frustrating. I just discovered this place, but when I showed up at 3:15 PM—well within their posted hours of 12 to 4 PM—they had already cleaned up and were shutting everything down.
To make it worse, I could hear the woman in the back shouting like she was completely fed up with life. She barked that I should “call ahead next time” to place an order. Are you kidding me? It was 3:15, not 3:50. That’s not “almost closing”—that’s solid business hours.
Look, I get it—everyone has bad days. But if your attitude is that toxic and unwelcoming, it completely ruins the experience, no matter how good the food is. This kind of treatment doesn’t reflect the quality coming out of the kitchen. Fix the attitude or risk losing loyal customers before they even have a chance to become one. Extremely disappointing
