Vanessa made a cake for my daughter’s wedding. She was very patient and helpful during the entire process. Her cake was beautiful and so delicious! We received many compliments on the cake. A few said they were enjoying it so much they didn’t realize they were done and were still looking for more! She catered for our budget and delivered the cake on time. Most importantly, the bride was very happy with the cake. We had a great experience and highly recommend Patisserie V. Marie!

From a drawing on paper, to the real thing Vanessa pays so much attention to detail. She’ll ask what’s your theme, what are you wearing and any detail that will help her design the perfect cake for you. And I was shocked at her prices. She’s honestly so affordable for the quality of cake you get. We opted for the strawberry shortcake and red velvet for our birthday cake and the cake was SO FRESH and so good!!! Her dad delivered it and he was wonderful and even gave us birthday Hugs. It’s like you walk in as strangers and leave as family. Thank you Vanessa and her wonderful team. 💖

BUYER BEWARE!!
Method of communication is very poor. If email is your preference to communicate then A) responding, clarifying, and answering all requests and questions should be accurate, complete and timely.
B) Paid for delivery of all goods to be delivered by 11am(guests to arrive for 12pm), the cake arrived 25 minutes late and the delivery man, practically running with the cake, tripped over something on the floor (clearly he was not paying attention) and almost dropped the cake)
C) The cake was clearly underwhelming. I asked through email that “at least 2 tones of blue buttercream be used and add hydrangeas”. This was also verbally communicated over the phone with the owner. And asked her to makes things all look pretty and add her touches. One tone of blue buttercream was used, no hydrangeas but a sad little flower and nothing looked pretty including the macaron tower. Cake tasted average but other pastries were pretty good.
D) As a business owner myself, a little more friendly customer service by owner, and customer appreciation goes a long way. The girls answering the phone were ALL friendly and accommodating but really couldn’t answer all questions as they turn to the owner. Never even got a thank you as I would thank her for her time for responding.
Received an email from the owner once she saw this review. Her response was as follows: Knowing that I am business owner myself, she pointed out that not all customers are satisfied. To this I am in agreement. But she continued to point out that she and her team worked very hard. And she would not replace the delivery person which happens to be her Dad. To this I say that I NEVER said she and her team did not work hard nor did I say to replace the delivery person.
Vanessa, a simple acknowledgement of the errors made and perhaps an apology would have been sufficient. But you failed to do either.

I’ve used Patisserie V Marie for cakes for the last 7 years and they never miss. I am a baker myself but for special occasions, I always like to order from here as their cakes have a professional clean finish and are so so so tasty. I do wish they had more flavours for their cakes and fillings, but the ones they have have been perfect. Would recommend 10/10 times. I’ve attached pictures of some cakes over the years.

Vanessa and her team have done a couple cakes for us in the past and she never disappoints. I’ve recently been diagnosed with Celiac & placed an order for gluten-free cupcakes and cake and I am soooo impressed. Absolutely beautiful work & amazing flavour - probably my favourite buttercream. Vanessa and her team were great to work with for our wedding cake from the consultation though to delivery. We ordered three tiers of Nutella and hazelnut, lemon and raspberry, and vanilla. It was seriously one of the best tasting cakes we've ever had and our guests kept saying the same thing, and it looked amazing too. Just what we wanted!

I came here in the morning - hoping to get some pastries for a little get together. I didn’t quite look into it and realized as I walked in that it’s predominately an order ahead kind of place, and while they didn’t have much on offer other than cupcakes and a few pre wrapped cookies, everything that was there looked gorgeous. I was hoping for some croissants and danishes but came out with some cupcakes since that was really all they had and they not only looked beautiful but were very delicious. The service was excellent- I had my hands full and they walked me to my car! Highly recommend if you are ordering! I can’t speak for the cakes but I imagine their cupcakes are close in taste and texture and those were wonderful! Thank you!

Clients service is NOT their strong suit. I have no idea how their cakes are, but they need a class on responding to clients in a timely fashion in accordance with the out of office they have set (3-5 day response time). Even when you call them, it takes days for them to respond back to voicemails. When you question why they didn’t call you back or respond, they say “that’s weird we are always on the phones” essentially, blaming the client. I emailed and called multiple times AND left voicemails to see if they were available for a cake for our celebration. Prior to emailing I called the store first to see if they were available for our date and was told they were, I immediately said “I am emailing now so I can secure the date”. I never received a response.Note to the store: you might be super busy, but client service and responsiveness is paramount. Your prospective clients deserve a response back within the timeframe you lay out in your out of office. If you can’t uphold that standard, then you need to figure something else out. The people that are calling you and emailing you are the same people keeping you in business. Do better.
