I live in the area and pop in kind of often. I’m a fan. I like the salads and sandwiches. I like the special options. I do wish there was a side of potato’s available for the sandwiches. Their soups are great too. Staff is friendly. Convenient location. It’s clean. Their service is very quick.

Probably the worst salad I’ve ever had. I’ll accept salads can be overpriced but the chicken being exceptionally dry and the kale not massaged.. biggest waste of $20 but at least I know not to go back.

Yesterday I went to pumpernickels for the first time, I wasn’t having the greatest day so I needed the food to be great. I was pleasantly surprised with how AMAZING the avocado feta wrap was and the salads as well, I tried the pasta, Caesar kale and the spicy chickpeas salads - AMAZING. Aside from the amazing food, the customer service was impeccable - Danielle & May were so kind, offered suggestions, we’re happy and positive, and Danielle made my day with the wrap. Thank you so much!

Hello , I would like to share the disappointed experience I have at place first time in 2 years. I have never seen an employee with such a negative and dominating attitude at Pumpernickel’s. I went there to have customize wrap around 12:10 during my lunch break. 2 ladies were there at service counter, one is with a-lot of braids ( first time seeing her there may be new) and another one an old employee) . Old employee started making my wrap as per my choice and things I like to have in wrap. The employee with braids started hurrying up the process by putting things by her own, I request her not to interfere as she is doing it perfectly fine as I want specific things in a particular way. ( the interfere is bit as she is try to dominant the old employee by showing that she is slow , try to confuse her and demotivate her by overpowering the things ). Then again she interfere I requested her to cut the falafels into half , then she shook a head gave me some weird frustration expression and left. When it is being grilled, I was looking at it , and about to say “ I don’t like it cut in half” she just cut that. I asked the lady at the cash counter ( Filipino in white attire )that I don’t like that way, I am going to have it later so It will become so soggy as it is cut into half. So she made it again without saying anything with a smile. By then the lady with Braids overheard the conversation and again gave weird expression by looking at me and shook head saying Aahhhhhhh!!! .
I am fail to understand why she has such a dominating and negative attitude at work while dealing with customers and with colleagues. I am paying for food , I visit after every 2 weeks just to have an amazing food at this place.
This is first time it happened in 2 years of working. Whenever I visit all the team members are smiling, enjoying their work and greet us with warm welcome. I asked “ does owner present at the store “, he might left by the time but I saw him few minutes ago while entering the place” I personally wanted to talk to owner of store to mention the treatment I received.
To be precise: Lady with black braids and dark complexion wearing white attire at front. It is a humble request please look into it. Customer can’t have a food which is made with such a negative vibes and energies.

Had lunch at Vaughan mill’s location and was completely discussed how dirty the actual restaurant was, looked like it hasn’t been cleaned and dusted in years. Not only am I blaming the management team for not noticing but what about the city health inspectors, are they sleeping or on the take and not fully doing their jobs. It’s sad to say humanity just doesn’t care anymore and places are turning into dirty facilities.
