“Very cool to have a chef cook in front of you! The performance itself was not very impressive, but it's easy for me to say that when I'm not the one doing it. We shared the table with another family, which was fine. It was amusing to see the kids equal parts ecstatic and worried about getting singed eyebrows (no eyebrows were singed, btw, but broccoli were caught. That part was cool!).
The chef's cooking tasted wonderful. I went with some friends, so we were able to try a bit of everything. I got the chicken yakisoba, and it came with lots of noodles. The chicken and vegetables were delicious. I was certainly full by the end of it.
I didn't like the spicy miso though. It lost all the taste that I associate with miso soup. Mild regrets getting it instead of sticking with the one that comes with the meal. The cold salad was nice and crunchy for me, but not for my friend, so it varies.
The price is comparable to meals of a similar portion that I get elsewhere, and you even have the added experience of the chef, so I would say it's a pretty good deal for special occasions. I would take out-of-towners to this place.“
