Extremely frustrating and disappointing experience at The Tickled Toad Pub & Grill.

Google Maps showed the restaurant was open until midnight, so I left home at 10 PM and walked for 30 minutes in the cold to get there. When I arrived, I was told they had already closed simply because it wasn’t busy.

This is completely unacceptable. Closing early due to low customer volume while still advertising later hours is misleading and disrespectful to customers. It wasted my time and effort, especially considering the weather.

I then had to walk another 30 minutes back home in the cold, which made the whole situation even worse.

If you cannot stick to your posted hours, then update them properly. Customers should be able to rely on the information you provide.

Came here with a friend for drinks on a Friday night after dinner and was not expecting it to be so cozy and fun! Live music, some light dancing and good beer.

We celebrated Sonia’s birthday ( I assume the owner or a very material member of this pub) with her regulars! She came to chat with us as she clearly knew we were new in town and shared how her staff is like family.

A cute place and would definitely come back for a fun time.

I will start by saying I am from the states and have never been here. I travel a lot to watch baseball and hockey games and after discovering The Toad through Ken Domik’s website Paul the owner initially seemed like a good guy and The Toad seemed like a place I’d visit and have a drink at.

After seeing how Paul acts in some of Ken’s videos The Toad is now the last place that I would give my money to.

In one video Paul and Ken observed an elderly man struggling to back his vehicle out of a tight parking space. Instead of making the man aware of this both Paul and Ken proceeded to laugh at the man both during and afterwards going so far as to call it exciting.

In a more recent video Paul and Ken, Paul’s son and another friend were in Tennessee at a Nashville Hot Chicken place. Paul cut holes out of a white napkin for his eyes and mouth and proceeded to hold it up in front of his face. Even though Paul made a bad joke about it being for sweat the connotation of this in the southern US makes it in very poor taste.

I hope Paul starts to make wiser decisions on who he lets endorse and be an ambassador for his restaurant.

Used to love coming here. But never again. My husband and I fell in love with the toad over a year ago and we were consistent customers. But the past few times we had noticed a serious decline in the atmosphere and how we were treated. I sincerely tried every visit to be pleasant and friendly with the owner lady and staff but it became quite obvious that they only care about their bar regulars. How do you become a valued customer if they don’t give you the same kindness and respect they give their inner circle? They call their customers “family” but they only reserve that sentiment to the daily patrons. I refused to believe it, and I convinced my husband to give them one more chance. So we went, and left with a really bad taste. We weren’t even served properly. My husband had to go to the bar to remind them we ordered drinks and then again to take our dirty plates and then AGAIN for the bill. The staff was busy doing shots with the bar regulars. I’m mad about it too, because I loved their menu. We feel more appreciated at the Boston Pizza

Used to be good. Now dirty and no personality. Wings all bones. Overcharging my bill many times. Snot face family workers that don’t smile. Gone downhill
