Tried the dim sum lunch here on the last day before the shutdown of dining in again. Really sad to see all these businesses suffer from the loss of revenue again. A nicely decorated place and first time seeing a restaurant providing two pairs of chopsticks for everyone. One pair to be used for reaching out to the dishes and the other for self use. Very thoughtful! Quality of dim sum very high and lots of variety to choose from and there are a few items that you don't see almost anywhere else. The only little complaint seems to be the prices. It is probably about 10-15% higher than the competition in the area. Would want to cond back for another try but have to wait for a minimum of four weeks.

Tried Yang's Chinese Cuisine for the first time late August 2020. Tables were well set apart inside a nicely decorated room but plastic sheeting covered the table. We tried the set menu three pounds of lobster plus an extra dish and it comfortably fed four with tasty, quality dishes plus dessert. We had no concerns about service. Ample parking out front and easy to get to by highway and major roads.

Currently their Covid 19 operation is unacceptable. 4-8 pm for dinner and tables was asked to pay up, pack up and leave by 8 pm as the owner does not want to pay employees for any additional hours. Cups for tea are extremely small paper cups (similar in size to ketchup cups at fast food restaurants) and paper plates/utensils are very fragile and small for the food they are serving -$88 fried lobster meals. Understandably costs may have to be cut but similar restaurants in the area have adapted much better/reasonably to Covid 19 (Yu Seafood as an example)

Very elegant and welcoming place. They serve large meals and for inexpensive rates. I liked the menu very much and the waiters were super welcoming and explanatory. Recommended.

Patio dim sum in Markham is my new addiction. Yang's is my second venue for this new pandemic induced need. Yang's provided better tasting food along with better service than my previous patio dim sum adventure a month earlier. Pricing here is higher than most gta dim sum restaurants. All the dim sum dishes were quite delicious; I noticed a tiny bit of edible cartilage in the sui mai. The steamed rice rolls dish had Périgord black truffles and iberico pork; gourmet European fillings. Other "standard" dishes include rice rolls with shrimp/snow pea leaves, congee with pork ribs, beef tendons, pork ribs, sticky rice with meat, sui mai and shrimp har gow.Yang's Chinese Cuisine is marginally closer to 5 than 4 stars and is a recommended restaurant.

We had an extraordinary in this restaurant. We enjoyed the wonderful environment and the menu. The staff members are super personal. I am content we finally decided to visit this restaurant.

Food was good but not great, worst of all was just a pricey as You Seafood just a block away. Service was very slow and disorganized. Cash only payments, and no proper receipt. When I asked was told no receipt, just a hand written slip with a total price. Aside from the payment option - there are far better places that are cheaper and better service. For the same price you can find outstanding.

Food was great and good quality. Well priced too. But the spacing between tables on their patio is questionable. The blogto post is inaccurate. The tables were definitely closer. So we opted to be seated inside, which was very spacious and well distanced but we had to wait a long time for tea to be filled. I had to walk up to a server to ask, or else we might have needed to wait longer. It was hard to get a server's attention in general. But the food was good enough for me wanting to go back.

Don't recommend, service was terrible for their self-proclaimed high-end establishment. Cash only, will not provide receipt and no explanation to why not. Seems shady. Public health wise: patio was crammed to maximize seating, there wasn't even enough room to push a regular stroller between the tables, nevermind 2 meter distancing. The washroom was filthy.Food was okay, but many other dim sum restaurant options in this price range.

I asked for refilling the hot water for my tea pot, she said wait until she finished setting up the table first (there were no other customer at that moment), a year ago

Considering it was a weekday and not busy, the staff were really flustered and unattentive. Due to COVID, we opted to sit on the patio. It looks nice...a little dirty but that's from the trees outside which is expected. We sat down for 5 mins and a lady comes by and asks if we're ready to order. I said we have no menu, tea or plates. She comes back with only a one set of cutlery. I end up going to another table and getting the remainder myself. The table next to us keeps asking her for a dish that's still outstanding. They leave without the dish even coming. During the meal, they never added more hot water or tea. And trying to flag one of the servers down is so hard cuz they just go to a table and leave. Not once do they look around to see if other tables need assistance even though it's not busy. When the bill comes, I say that I need to pay card and during COVID times, that's my preferred method. The waiter asks me to go into the resto. The manager says they don't accept card. I respond that the door shows MC and VISA. He said that they need to charge 5% and I said it's false advertising to show that you accept credit cards on your door so he doesn't charge it. In summary, bad service for a place that prides itself on being a classier chinese resto.

While the food was acceptable, all other aspects of this restaurant were deplorable. We had a 12 noon reservation and were forced to wait one hour and 15 minutes to be seated. To add insult to injury, we then had to wait an additional hour to be served our dim sum lunch. When I paid, I did not even check the outlandish bill (for over $70) but realized later I had been charged for 2 "special dishes" at almost $8.00 each, and we had only one. Also, there are no credit cards accepted in this establishment, even during these days of Covid when careful restaurants do not even accept cash. Why wouldn't Yang's take only cash - that way there is no savings to the customer for taxes paid, but surely they are not submitting the total taxes to the government. In addition, they do not need to pay a percentage to the credit card companies even though their prices are steep. When I paid, fully preparing to leave a tip, despite the most horrible and neglectful service, the manager "reminded" me that I should leave a tip. I hope the servers benefit from tips, in which cases it's not their fault that the restaurant overbooks and overworks them. All in all, this restaurant cares little about their customers from all that we witnessed. We travelled a long way (from downtown Toronto) to have "outdoor" dim sum. We will not do so again, to be sure.

Rare temporary decent outdoor dinner with tent and green trees. First time here and the dim sum is average positive, arrive timely. Although a bit short of staff but still efficient. Make booking avoid waits. CASH only.

I tried their dinner previously and they generally offered decent quality of food. Recently, I ordered their dim sum combo takeout and it didn't disappoint me.- Pork bone and peanut congee: it was very flavorful and the rice melted in your mouth right away. This dish fulfilled all my expectations on Cantonese congee.- Shrimp dumpling: nothing too special about it, the skin was a little soggy.- Steamed rice roll with beef: I'm generally not a big fan of beef, but I really liked the smooth texture of the dish.- Chao Zhou style of shrimp dumpling: nothing too special.- Steamed chicken feet: It was one of the best chicken feet among the dim sum places in town. Flavourful and soft.- Radish puff pastry: The stuffing tasted pretty good, but the skin was a bit soggy. I wouldn't blame the chef too much though since it was a takeout order.- Grilled squid: Very flavourful dish and it was served with decent amount.- Black sugar and honey steamed bun: One of my favorite dish. The sweetness level was just about right and it tasted so soft.Despite that the price was a bit on the expensive side, the takeout dim sum here was not bad!
